Taehyun paced back and forth in the living room, his frustration evident in the tight grip he had on his phone. "I can't believe this," he muttered, shooting a glare at the photo on the wall. It was a picture of his step sister, Y/N, smiling radiantly.

"What's eating you, step bro?" Y/N's voice floated in from the kitchen, where she was preparing dinner.

Taehyun sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair. "It's that guy from the café again. He wouldn't take a hint, kept asking for your number."

Y/N chuckled, setting down the knife she was using to chop vegetables. "He was persistent, I'll give him that."

"Yeah, well, he's not getting anywhere near you," Taehyun declared, his jaw clenched.

Y/N rolled her eyes playfully. "Taehyun, you can't scare away every guy who shows interest in me. I can handle myself, you know."

Taehyun scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest. "I know you can, but that doesn't mean I have to like it."

Y/N smiled softly, walking over to him and placing a hand on his shoulder. "I appreciate your protectiveness, I really do. But I don't want you scaring off potential friends either."

Taehyun sighed, relenting slightly. "Fine, I'll try to tone it down. But only for you."

Y/N grinned, giving him a playful shove. "That's my big brother, always looking out for me."

As they continued their conversation, Taehyun couldn't help but feel a surge of affection for his sister. She was truly one of a kind, and he would do anything to keep her safe.
Despite Taehyun's efforts to tone down his protective instincts, he couldn't shake the feeling of unease whenever Y/N was around other guys. It didn't help that she was always so friendly and outgoing, attracting attention wherever she went.
One evening, as they walked home from dinner, a group of guys approached them on the street. Taehyun's grip on Y/N's arm tightened instinctively, his protective instincts kicking into overdrive.

"Hey there, beautiful," one of the guys called out, a cocky grin plastered on his face. "What's a pretty girl like you doing out here all alone?"

Y/N smiled politely, trying to defuse the situation. "We're just heading home, thanks."

But the guys didn't seem to take the hint, stepping closer and leering at her. Taehyun felt his blood boil with anger, his fists clenching at his sides.

"Back off," he growled, stepping in front of Y/N protectively. "She's not interested."

The guys exchanged glances, sizing him up. "What's it to you, man?" one of them challenged, taking a step forward.

Before Taehyun could respond, Y/N stepped in, her voice firm. "We don't want any trouble. Just let us pass, please."

The tension in the air was palpable as the standoff continued. Taehyun could feel his heart pounding in his chest, his protective instincts on high alert.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the guys backed off, muttering curses under their breath as they disappeared into the night. Taehyun let out a sigh of relief, his shoulders sagging with tension.

"Are you okay?" he asked, turning to Y/N with concern etched on his face.

Y/N nodded, a grateful smile on her lips. "Thanks to you, I am. You always have my back, don't you?"

Taehyun smiled back, feeling a sense of pride swell within him. "Always," he replied, linking his arm through hers as they continued their journey home.

The atmosphere in Y/N and Taehyun's apartment was buzzing with energy as their friends gathered for a casual hangout. Yeonjun, the resident flirt, wasted no time in charming his way into conversations, particularly with Y/N.
