Y/N breezed through the school corridors, a vision of grace and poise, her friends trailing closely behind. Each stride she took seemed choreographed, the envy of many but the admiration of most.
"Honestly, Y/N, you could get anyone you wanted. Why not go for Jisung from the basketball team?" one of her friends suggested, flipping her hair back.
Y/N managed a small smile, her thoughts elsewhere. "I don't know. There's someone else I can't stop thinking about."
Her friend scoffed, rolling her eyes dramatically. "Not that skater boy, Hueningkai? Please, he hangs out with the wrong crowd."
Y/N's gaze fell to her shoes, a blush creeping onto her cheeks. "Maybe, but there's something about him..."
Across the courtyard, Hueningkai and his friends were deep in their usual banter, flipping tricks with their skateboards.
"So, when are you gonna talk to her?" Taehyun nudged Hueningkai, a teasing glint in his eye.
Hueningkai shrugged, his gaze never leaving Y/N. "I don't know, man. It's not that simple. Her friends... they don't like us."
Yeonjun chuckled, flipping his skateboard onto the ground. "Since when do we care about what others think? Just go for it."
Soobin, always the voice of reason, piped up. "Just find the right moment, and speak your heart. Who knows? Maybe she feels the same."
"Haha, yeah right," Hueningkai laughed a bit too loudly, causing students, including Y/N, to turn towards them.
Unaware of his gaze, Y/N whispered to her friends, "He's just different, you know? It's not just about who his friends are."
Her friend raised an eyebrow. "You're seriously falling for a skater boy? What would everyone think?"
Y/N sighed, a frown forming as she watched Hueningkai laughing with his friends. "Maybe I don't care what they think."
Meanwhile, Beomgyu, catching bits of the conversation, grinned at Hueningkai. "Dude, she keeps looking over here. You're obviously on her mind too."
"Nah, she's probably just wondering why we're so loud," Hueningkai muttered, though a hopeful look flashed across his face.
"You won't know until you try," Taehyun pressed, nudging him again.
Yeonjun jumped back on his board, riding it close to where the girls stood. "Why not shake things up a bit?" he suggested with a smirk before riding off towards the gym.
As the bell rang, signaling the end of lunch, Y/N's friend grabbed her arm. "Come on, let's go. Forget about him."
Y/N nodded, following her friends but throwing a longing glance back at Hueningkai.
Later that day, Hueningkai found himself accidentally on purpose bumping into Y/N at the lockers.
"Hey," he managed awkwardly, scratching the back of his head.
Y/N looked surprised but smiled. "Hi, Hueningkai. Um, nice trick today at lunch."
"Thanks. I, uh, I've been wanting to talk to you," Hueningkai stuttered, his heart racing.
"Really?" Y/N's voice was hopeful, her eyes lighting up.
"Yeah, I just..." Hueningkai's words trailed off as he noticed her friends glaring from down the hall. He took a deep breath. "I just wanted to say, maybe we could hang out sometime? Without our friends?"
Y/N's smile widened. "I'd like that."
"Really? Cool! I mean, great," Hueningkai stammered, a grin breaking across his face.
