Kali waited for Blaise at the astronomy tower, for she got there thirty minutes earlier. Her anxiety was creeping up her throat and staying in her dorm only made her more nervous.

Carla was in a deep slumber, yet Penelope was wide awake, staring at the wall like it was telling her a secret. Usually, she would be the first one to sleep, but she stayed up, spaced out.

Kali told her the truth, she was leaving to see Blaise. She may have added a flirty wink and a giggle as she left her room, but no real lying was done, so her conscience was clean.

The night was warmer than before, but that may be because it isn't as late. It was only twelve, so the air wasn't as sharp. It was still cold, but Kali's fingers weren't purple.

She hummed a tune while she waited for Blaise, a muggle song she had heard on break. She quite enjoyed muggle music with their deep lyrics and different tunes, no song similar to another. She enjoyed muggle artists as well, their style and presence. Her mum didn't really approve of that music, but didn't really say anything to the girl.

Blaise approached her, wearing a long sleeve and some gray sweatpants. He looked great, yet Kali kept her eyes on his and she walked closer.

"How was your day?" He asked, his voice cutting the silence. He leaned against the pillar across from Kali, slumped comfortably with his height.

"Tiresome." She said honestly, because it was exhausting. Carla had nagged her all day about her relationship with Blaise.

He furrowed his eyebrows and stepped a bit closer to her. "Why's that?" He knew the answer to that, but it was polite to ask.

Kali chuckled under her breath at her best friend's eager words. "Carla kept asking me about you and asking if Draco was single."

He sucked in a sharp breath, even if her words didn't mean any harm. "Sorry for this morning, Kali. I just really wanted to help you and that was the only way I thought of." He felt a bit bad, but he couldn't do anything now.

She shook her head, inching closer to him. They were only like four feet away, yet they didn't take any action to move. "I should thank you for that. You saved my ass. Simon was being horrible."

"I think we should keep the ruse up until he leaves you alone." Blaise blurted out, studying her expression carefully to make sure she was okay.

She was surprised by his words since she assumed he wanted nothing to do with her. I mean, realistically they had nothing in common. Not the house, not the hobbies, not the friends. Yet, his idea sounded good, but she couldn't help but act wary.

"What's in it for you?" Her voice took over that confident edge that seemed to only happen around the Slytherin staring at her right now.

He sighed, resting his head on the stone behind him. "Revenge against Chance for what he did to Camden." He said this and he could see Kali's apprehension. "I also want to scare the girls a bit since they always try something with me."

This made Kali laugh, a tad unbelievable what he was saying. "You want girls to stop throwing themselves on you?" He was the first guy she had ever heard of that had that problem.

"It's for my peace of mind since I want to focus on quidditch." He loved that sport, and by trying to keep track of his hookups, he got distracted. "Camden is still out, so we need to bring it."

She understood what he was staying, yet she felt like he was playing her. "If we fake date you can't keep seeing your harem of girls. I have to be the only one, even if you won't get action."

A playful smile found itself on his lips. "Why won't I?" He asked jokingly, but he couldn't help admiring her plump lips and cute stature. "I've been told I'm irresistible."

A snort came out of her mouth, like when she really had a laugh. "Please, Zabini. I don't know what diseases you carry."

He felt the need to reiterate that he didn't have any diseases and he wasn't that much of a manwhore. "I'm clean and can practice self control. We have nothing to worry about." He looked down at her and extended his hand. "Do we have a deal?"

She let out a long breath, but her mind was already made. This was just some fun, nothing serious. Their hands connected and they gave each other a firm handshake. His hand was warm and a bit callused, while hers was ice cold and soft.

"I'll wait for you outside of your common room at seven." It was late and Blaise was finally tired. That was a product of not sleeping since he got to the school. "See you later, my betrothed."

This made her laugh and nod along as he chuckled as well. They left together through the empty halls of Hogwarts. When they had to walk to different areas, she gave him a simple wave which he returned.
