Sleep good?

The sun beamed through the sheer black curtains of the Slytherin dorm. It warmed up the room, but not enough to sleep without a blanket or something else to keep you warm. And Kali was so warm, that she didn't know what blanket Carla had laid on her to make this comfortable.

Her head was on a harder pillow than usual, but she didn't want to move. A heavy pillow laid across her waist, keeping her in place while she breathed deeply, her lungs filling with air.

She snuggled closer into the bed, the pillow under her pulling her closer. That's when she fluttered her eyes open, only to be met by something that was most definitely not a pillow. Blaise was sleeping under her, his eyes closed and peaceful.

Kali startled a little when she noticed it was him. His face was soft, no tension taking over his delicate features. His lips were a bit open so he could breathe better. His under eyes were already the usual color of his skin, not the gray they were these last few days.

She admired him for a few seconds, liking how he looked when he wasn't aware of the stares that he usually got. He was so attractive and he didn't know it. If he knew it, he didn't use it to his advantage, because right now Kali felt hotter than ever just looking at him.

Not wanting to wake him up, she sat up a little and removed his heavy arm from her waist. He didn't as much stir, which let her know that he was a deep sleeper. Since he hadn't slept in a few days, he wouldn't notice if the castle fell on top of him.

Kali didn't notice the other boy who was sitting on his bed reading a book. She jumped when Camden gave her a smile. "Good morning." He said with a knowing grin.

She ran a hand through her hair, trying to tame some of the flyaways that she always gets when waking up. "Hello, Camden."

"Sleep good?" He asks, lifting his eyebrows in amusement.

She could feel her cheeks heating up, and she knew she was probably as red as Penelope's favorite lipstick. "Urm, yes. I only meant to take a nap. What time is it?" She looked out the window to inspect the sun, but she still had no idea.

Camden nods along to what she's saying, then looks at the watch that he usually has on his left arm. "It's 11."

"Oh wow." Was all she could muster out. They fell asleep around nine, so they slept twelve hours straight. Kali had never slept so much, yet since she was so comfortable, her body probably shut down. "I'm sorry for staying so long in your room. I'm sure you guys have stuff to do."

"Nonsense." Camden replied, seeing how she started panicking, her eyes widening. "Want to go to the Three Broomsticks and get some butterbeer?"

She glanced over at Blaise, who was still asleep despite the talking. "You want to leave him alone?"

He shrugs in response, knowing that Blaise won't be awake for at least another three hours. "He'll be asleep when we get back. Promise."

Kali debated the idea in her head. Carla probably wanted to do something today, but this was only for a few hours and she probably won't notice. She liked Camden enough to go to Hogsmead with him, so she nodded.

She looked down at her clothes, crumpled up and wrinkly from sleeping. "I need to bathe and to change before we go." Look good, feel good is what her mother always used to say to Kali, and she lives by those words.

Camden rolls his eyes because he forgot she would probably take a while. "Go quickly. I'll wait for you in the courtyard." He said gruffly and she rushed out of there.

Kali came up to her room and decided on some jeans and a floral shirt. Judging by the sun that came through Blaise's window, today was going to be warm, the perfect weather for her usual cute outfits, instead of the sweaters that she was forced to wear.

She showered and got dressed at a surprising speed of ten minutes, then rushed out to find Camden sitting on the stone fountain. He changed his shirt into one more casual than a button down, but still fancyish nonetheless. He grinned at her when she approached.

Since they were seventh years, they could go to town every weekend without a parent's signature. Plus, a professor didn't have to accompany them at all times, which gave the students some freedom to shop whatever they like. If they caught you leaving Homgsmead, you would lose privileges to go for a few weeks, and nobody wanted to be stuck at school for a month without hanging out with their friends outside.

The three broomsticks was packed, as always. Older students are the ones that get priority when getting tables and better service. No third year should be drinking that much sugar in the morning.

This place was filled with memories for both acquaintances. Kali still remembered the first time she came to drink butterbeer with Carla and Penelope. They laughed and felt so grown up, like they were finally part of a bigger crowd. Camden had come here before with his mother, but seeing this place with the eyes of a teenager with his friends really helps with the nostalgia he feels every time he comes here and drinks a frozen butterbeer, getting the foam on his lips. They were leaving the school this year, and they could come back and relive their teenage years, but nothing would feel the same.

Camden found a table and pulled out Kali's chair, he was always a gentleman. Once they were settled, he started talking. "You didn't go to the game yesterday."

Kali shrugs, feeling comfortable enough to tell him the truth. "I thought Blaise didn't want me there. I don't want to impose even more than I already do."

"He likes you, Kali." Camden said, his tone relaxed. "I know he enjoys your company, so you don't have to ask to go."

"I'm going to the next one." She makes a silent promise to herself that she will go to the quidditch matches and cheer for Slytherin. "When can you play again?"

Camden's face turned darker, the topic still being sensitive. He loves quidditch and this is his last semester to play with his friends before leaving to be an auror or whatever his parents have planned out for him. "In two weeks I have a checkup with Madame Pomfrey to see if I can play. I'm sick of being head cheerleader."

Kali laughs at his words, her delicate laugh coming out to play. "But you're so peppy." She teases him. "We should buy you a skirt and some pompoms."

"You laugh now, but I would look so good with a skirt." He jokes, a twisted smile on his face. "Maybe I can include you in my cheer team. You can be at the top of the pyramid."

"Me and sports don't get along, I'll stick to the sidelines while you chant your way through the season." She tried almost every sport, and she was so bad that she completely gave up on them, never trying again.

He lifts his eyebrows, an idea brewing behind his eyes. "I bet Blaise could teach you some quidditch." He has a playful tone. "The people would love that and, no offense, but you need to sell this relationship a bit more."

Kali gasped, rearing back and hitting her back with the worn wooden chairs that have been there for as long as she can remember. "I think it's selling fine."

"No." His voice is so sassy she wants to slap him. "Nobody would believe that Blaise Zabini, known Slytherin bad boy, is dating Kali Swan and not kissing her at every corner. They think he's corrupting you. You gotta sell that, not him being tame, but you being wild."

His words made sense because Blaise was Blaise, and everyone knew most of the stuff he got caught up in. His business was shared all throughout school, not a crevice undiscussed. Now, there is a thin line between what's real and what's not, so they had to really profit on that.

Camden noticed her really internalizing her words. "When we get back, we'll hash out a plan. I know Carla and Draco would help you guys really drive this home."

"Okay, perfect." She nods, determined to make this believable. She was enjoying this whole ploy, it distracted her from the stress she was feeling recently with the big changes coming ahead.

They each sipped on their drinks, finding some comfort in each other. Everything was coming to an end, and they hadn't really been friends before now, but it felt different. This whole plan with Blaise was the start of something new that she had never experienced before, even if it's just new friends and new parties, it felt different.
