Everyone knows.

Classes were getting boring, the professor just talking for hours about the same things over and over again. Usually, once tests came up, classes got longer and more grueling, making the students stressed. This happened at any school, even a magical one.

Blaise stared at the board in the front of the classroom, his eyes not focusing on anything, just staring into space like he's in a trance. Potions class was horrible, even when they did the experiments. He didn't particularly like to study, but he did do it sometimes to maintain his grades.

Professor Slughorn went on and on about the properties of the vial he was holding, his eyes alight his passion for this. Most people stared at him with interest, probably thinking of how to use this potion for their own gain. Not Blaise though, he wanted to leave as soon as class was over.

Draco sat across from him, looking at the professor with his head in his hands. He was also bored, but was better at masking it than Blaise. Still, his eyes fluttered shut every once in a while.

After his most recent interaction with Kali, they hadn't really seen each other. Just some hugs here and there to not raise suspicion. He missed hanging out with her, but she felt rather distant. Maybe it was that he opened up to her about his mum and she got scared. If that was it, Blaise was even more messed up than he thought he was. It would hurt if she went running away at his first sign of emotion. He would have to keep everything locked up from now on.

"Next class we are going to make amortentia, so be ready for that." The professor exclaimed with glee, his hands buzzing with excitement.

Blaise didn't want to make amortentia. It was very probable that he wouldn't smell anyone. Right now, he couldn't see who his soulmate was, if he even had one. It would probably smell like air, and that would annoy him.

"I wonder who I'll smell." Draco said to his friend, packing up his book in his little bag.

Blaise shrugged, feeling down and just wanting to go to their dorm and crash. "Probably Astoria or Daphne."

Draco scrunched up his nose with a bit of disgust. "Don't wish that upon me." His voice was snappy. "You're lucky because you'll smell Kali."

"You know I won't." He was shocked at his friend's words, but tried to mask it with indifference. Once he said that aloud, his eyes darted around the classroom to make sure no one heard him. Gladly, everyone was chatting away and leaving the room.

Draco rolled his eyes, like he always does. "You say that, but I can see something different."

Blaise decided to ignore his statement since he probably said it to piss him off. Draco loved stirring stuff up when he had no business to. It was probably to get attention, so his friends usually laughed and didn't pay any mind to what he was saying.

The friends walked to the door, their books ready for their next class where Camden was meeting with them. Him, being the overachiever that he was, took potions last year to get more credits for graduation.

Draco snickered at the taller boy next to him. "You're silent because you know I'm being truthful."

Blaise shot him an annoyed look and continued forward.Their class was at the end of this same corridor, so they didn't really have to rush. Their steps were lazy and tired. And that's when Blaise saw it.

Kali, leaning against the stone walls of the castle, giggling with a boy he barely recognized. He was obviously not in Slytherin or in their year because his face didn't ring a bell. Still, Blaise's fists turned tight and he felt that achy feeling in his chest again.

"Mate, are you going to let him flirt with her?" Draco, bored and wanting to fuel the fire, said with a smirk on his face.

Blaise contemplated this for a moment. He didn't want to start any drama, especially if they weren't even dating in real life, but that boy didn't know that. Like everyone else, he must have heard that Kali was with him, and that was simply disrespectful.

He kept his strut casual, like he had all the time in the world. He didn't because he had class, but this was seemingly more important. He had height as an advantage, and that was usually very intimidating for most people.

Once he was close, Kali could feel him. It was his signature scent of whatever pricey perfume he wore that made her stutter on her words. "Ye- yeah, I can meet tomorrow."

Blaise came close and the first thing he did was dip down to press a warm kiss to the corner of her jaw, more intimate than the cheek. "Where are we going, lovely?" He asked, his voice smugger than he planned.

She turned to him with an expression he couldn't decipher, but she didn't seem angry. "I have a project with Clemson and we're just figuring out when to meet." She replied tone level.

He took this as an opportunity to look at the boy. He looked younger than them, but not by a lot and Blaise didn't like the way his mouth had a permanent smirk on it. "I don't believe we've met." He greeted, placing a protective arm around Kali. "Blaise Zabini." He extended his hand.

The other guy shook it, his grip hard, like he was trying to prove something. "So I've heard." Was his answer, which displeased Blaise. He turned to Kali, his eyes blown like she's a piece of meat. "Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow." He said and walked away.

"Prick." Blaise muttered under his breath, making Kali turn to him with a confused expression on her face.

"Do you want to pee on me?"

Blaise furrowed his eyebrows. "What?"

"So you can claim me better." She replied with a roll of her eyes. She was a bit pissed that Blaise came over here to make sure the boy knew he was in the picture. The weird thing is, a strange heat had spread over her limbs, making her sweat a little.

Blaise shook his head. "He's a little shit." He spoke, his tone harsh. "He knows you're with me and he still decides to flirt with you."

"He probably doesn't know we're together." She says with air quotes, which really makes the pressure in his chest tighten.

"Everyone knows." He says simply. Which was probably true. Gossip spreads fast between these stone walls, like they echo the drama.

Kali looked at him with disbelief, then at the empty hall. "I'm late for class. We will talk later." She gave him a stern look and rushed away from him towards another hallway.

Blaise stoof in the middle of a deserted corridor, probably about to be sent to detention, but he didn't care. He hated that arsehole.
