I didn't peg her as your type.

The Slytherin common room is always busy during the evening. Once the classes finish, it gets buzzing with energy. Students come to do their homework, talk or just watch people. Slytherins of all ages meet up, making it almost impossible to walk, nor sit.

Still, Blaise and his friends always have a space in the Slytherin common room. Draco isn't a mean person, but he's rich and powerful, making everyone fear him. Blaise has money as well. Camdem has more than all of them, his father being the minister of magic.

They were popular, no doubt, but they didn't try to instill this power dynamic, it just happened. Not that they hated it, it benefited them, so they didn't do anything to dismantle it. Yet, they weren't unapproachable. People came up to them all the time.

Once the three guys entered the common room, all eyes were on them for a few seconds, then everyone resumed what they were doing. From their usual sofa Pansy waved them over. She had her book open in front of her.

Pansy was their friend, but they weren't as close as they could be because they didn't enjoy her friends. Daphne was a good hook up, but the guys didn't like her personality. She always wanted the attention and they just didn't want to give it to her.

They approached her and threw themselves on the couch, cramming her in the middle. She wiggled to get some space for herself. "Can you give me personal space? Or do your rich arses not know what that is?" Pansy says with an attitude, as always.

"Aren't you rich, too?" Draco asked with a nose scrunch. To mark his point, he leaned back more on her. "Always speaking out of your arse."

She reached towards his face and pushed him away, her nails digging into his hairline. "Shove off, Malfoy." Her voice was raspy, so her point always came across.

Camden looked around the room, searching for someone specific. "Where are your annoying friends today?" He questions, a sarcastic light in his voice. "It's so weird to see Blaise's lap empty."

She laughs, throwing her head back and wheezing. She knows they don't like her friends, but she doesn't care. "They're around." Is what she answers, then continues. "Plus, Blaise has a girl now, so he can't keep stringing Astoria along."

He scowled, giving Pansy a mean look to try to intimidate her. Of course, it doesn't work. "I never strung her along." Maybe he did, but it wasn't on purpose. "And, yes, Kali would kill me if she sees me with another girl."

Draco lifts an eyebrow, but looks at the floor, trying to hide his reaction. Camden cleared his throat, making it obvious that it's fake, but, thankfully, Pansy doesn't notice this. If she does, she ignores it. She was always pretty oblivious to a lot of things, but never relationship drama, so maybe she ignored the suspiciousness of the new relationship.

"I've taken a few classes with her." Pansy says, her voice isn't mean, but there's a weird tone in it. "I didn't peg her as your type."

Blaise couldn't help but feel defensive, even if he and Kali didn't have a real relationship. These few days he has begun to care for her and her nice ways. It's a nice switch from his ex girlfriends and ex crushes. "Why?"

"I mean, really?" He didn't like what she was insinuating, but he would let her finish. "She's way too tame for you. Last I heard she had only ever been with Simon."

"Why is that bad?" He felt his emotions getting the best of him. He isn't an angry person, but when he gets angry he really feels it. "If I like her then that should be enough." And he did like her, like a friend obviously.

Pansy reared back at his snappy tone, he was always calm around her so this was a contrast to his usual self. "I didn't mean to shit-talk her, just curious about you guys." She stayed silent for a second, thinking. Then, she lit up. "Bring her to my birthday friday. I will finally get to see you and her together."

Blaise panicked, knowing that Slytherin parties are usually really hardcore and he hasn't seen her at one before. He had to ask her and see if she was up for it, but he can probably see her answering no. Maybe he would have to beg, but he refused for Pansy to see Kali as someone who isn't worthy of him, when it's the other way around.

She is way too sweet for him with her big smiles and nervous blushing. She always wears cute outfits, even when it's way too cold out. She always does everything for Carla, no matter the situation. He can really see her care for anyone, which isn't something he does. The present situation being proof of that.
