The Hogwarts library was dark, with wooden shelves that seemed to span miles. They were all filled with books about different themes and authors, something to cater for everyone and their unique tastes. The silences overtook the rooms, like speaking was illegal. Of course, there were still people who talked in low voices to their friends.

Kali was a frequent visitor of the library, going there at least three times a week. She found she concentrated better when she knew she didn't have anything to distract herself. Her dorm was filled with little knick knacks that stole her attention, including her roommates.

Penelope was as absent as ever, only coming back to the dorm to sleep and avoiding her friends during the day. Carla was ready to bite her head off, but Kali had been able to keep her at bay with the promise of some candy.

The new dynamic was weird since Penelope was a vital piece in their group. She was not as shy as Kali, but not as outgoing as Carla. She was the perfect mediator between the girls and wonderful middle ground. Without that, they felt incomplete, even if they didn't want to admit it.

Kali hasn't been feeling so good recently. It felt like she was coming down with a cold and she hadn't seen Blaise in a few days after sleeping in his bed. That is so intimate that maybe she scared him away. He was the one to ask her to lay down with him, but they were barely friends, and that is a sharp boundary for other people, maybe he was one of them and the high he was running with after the game was enough to make some bad decisions.

The books were open on the table and Kali was poured over them. Her head hurt and her nose was running, but she had to finish this paper. She couldn't relax until she finished her assignments for the day. Yet, it was becoming harder and harder to keep her eyes open, until they closed on their own.

A hand touched her forehead, making her jump back, her eyes wide in alert. It was only Blaise, staring at her with a worried expression. "You're burning up." He informs her, waiting to see what she would say. "Isn't it late for studying?"

"I have to finish this last paper or I won't be able to sleep." She shakes her head, the voice that comes out is weak and a bit strained. "I'll finish in an hour."

"No," Is all he says, his voice final, not waiting for a discussion.

Kali scrunched up her nose in confusion. "What do you mean no?"

"If you stay here an hour you'll pass out." He looked around the library, the only people were not paying attention to them, so he decided to pick up her things. "Let's go to my dorm so you can rest."

This made wake up from the fever induced trance she was in. "I thought you hated me sleeping there. You haven't talked to me in three days."

Blaise felt a pit in his stomach, feeling guilty for not reaching out. In reality, he wasn't avoiding her on purpose, but he visited home to meet his mum's new boyfriend, which he didn't like. He was out of it for the next few days and, again, he couldn't sleep.

"No, love, I wasn't avoiding you." The pet name slipped out, but looking at her all tired and sick made him want to be extra gentle. "I just had some family issues."

Kali felt bad now for calling him out when she had no right to. They weren't even friends. "Oh, okay." She stayed settled in her chair.

Blaise was getting impatient because she really did look sick. "Come on to my dorm. You can finish your paper in bed."

The idea of a warm and comfy bed filled with plush blankets sounded like heaven right now, so Kali picked up her things and let Blaise lead the way. He didn't rush, though, keeping the same pace as her to ensure that she didn't faint or anything. She did feel really warm, so he hopes this fever breaks soon. He didn't even know if Camden and Draco were in his dorm, right now he didn't care anyways.

When he opened the door for her, Draco was laying in his bed reading a book and Camden was at their desk, writing something down for a class. They didn't even bat an eye at Kali trailing behind Blaise. They just greeted her warmly.

"How are you, Kali?" Draco asked from his bed, eyeing her deep under eye bags and pale complexion. "Are you sick?"

She shook her head. "I'm not, but your roommate seems to think I am." She shot a look at Blaise that was supposed to come out as mean, but he just laughed at her.

Without asking, he rummaged through his drawers and found a large sweater that would cover her probably till her knees, and handed it to her. He pointed to the bathroom. "Change into something more comfortable and come back to finish your homework."

Nodding in agreement, she rushed to the bathroom and took off her clothes, replacing them with the large and soft sweater. It was a quidditch one that was worn with love, the fabric thick. She ordered her clothes in a neat pile and came out to the room. Blaise had changed into his pajamas as well.

"Just take a five minute break and then you can do your assignment." Blaise ordered, looking at the way his sweater looked baggy on her, way too big. He liked seeing his quidditch number on her body, a small hint of pride exploding in his chest.

Kali walked towards his bed, and as soon as she was under the covers, she fell asleep. Not even a second passed until she was letting out soft snores, her chest rising and falling at a steady pace.

"She's out cold." Camden comments, still doing whatever homework he was finishing. "She's going to wake up stressed since she didn't do her assignments."

Blaise scoffs at his friend and picks up her unfinished paper, reading it to know what it's about. "That's why I'm going to finish it for her."

"She has you wrapped around her finger, huh?" Draco jokes, while Camden nods in agreement.

"Just helping out a friend." Blaise's hand works quickly to match her writing and mimic the tone of her essay. It was pretty easy since she literally wrote like she was writing a textbook.

Camden stares at him for a few seconds. "No girl has ever slept in our dorm two times in a row." That was true, they didn't like to repeat the same girls.

Blaise looked up from the paper, a little annoyed with his friends. "That's because we aren't hooking up, Camden. You guys are crazy for imagining things." He said this, but he wasn't so sure anymore. He likes the way her nose scrunched, and he snores, and the way she writes, and the way she moves in her sleep.

"Whatever you say, mate." Draco said with a knowing tone, returning to the book. The room stayed silent, except for Kali's snores.

Hey guys!! Thank you so much for the support on this this ff. I was nervous since I never really see a lot of Blaise fanfics but people seem to enjoy them!
