Let's fly around now.

The quidditch pitch was empty, which isn't a normal occurrence. Usually someone is practicing or there's a game going on. Not today, though. Blaise had gotten special permission from Madame Hooch to utilize it.

Kali waiting on the sidelines with some exercise clothes. She didn't want to do this but Blaise seemed excited for whatever he had planned that evening.

He entered the pitch with two brooms. His more advanced version, and an old one he had lying around. His grin could be seen across the grass, so he was happy.

"There she is!" He exclaimed, quickening his step to get to Kali. "The quidditch champion!"

"I find your sarcasm insulting, Zabini!" She shouted back until he was close enough to speak normally. "Do you like to torture me?"

He chuckled and leaned down to kiss her cheek, a greeting that he enjoyed since her face got red and that amused him. "You can't be dating a superstar like me and not know how to play quidditch."

"Then you should learn to get good grades." She said with a bit of an attitude but no malicious intent.

"I already do, darling." That was true, he was an exceptional student. "I just don't brag about it."

She crossed her arms and shook her head, annoyed at his comeback but entertained anyways. Blaise was much different than she expected and it scared her. Who knew he was so funny and smart.

"Anyways," He started and gave her the oldest model of the brooms he was holding. "Let's get started shall we. Place your broom on the floor."

She followed orders but didn't enjoy flying, so she wasn't even going to try hard. That's when she noticed his shiny new broom. "Why do I get the old one? I want that one."

Blaise nodded and switched brooms. "You say that like I won't give it to you." He mutters, which shocks her because she knows how important the sport is for him. "Now, you have to say "up"."

"Up." She tries, but the broom stays on the floor. Maybe it only follows Blaise's orders because he got his in his hand without even speaking. With a bit more force she repeats herself. "Up!" This time it does what she wants and places itself in her hand.

He nods along, like he knew she could do it. "Slowly get in the broom. Don't rush it and find your balance." He gets on quickly, like he was born for this. He probably was.

With some struggle and wobbles, she's on the broom, the tips of her toes touching the floor. "Okay. Now what?" She asks, thinking this is it.

Blaise lets out an amused laugh, finding her adorable with her exasperated expression on her face. "You need to lift from the floor, love."

"I don't want to fall." She says, her voice sounding scared.

He shakes his head, his features softening. "I promise I won't let you fall."

This gives her enough confidence to lift from the floor. She's shaking but the broom is stable and hard enough to feel safe. She smiles at Blaise who is already grinning at her. "I did it!" She celebrates but never lets go of the broom.

"Good job!" He congratulates me with a wink. "Let's fly around now."

Her eyes open wide and she turns to him with fear in them. "No." She simply states. "I'll make a fool of myself."

"Come on." He pleads. "It'll be so fun! And you get to brag about it."

With uncertainty, she nods, giving him the permission to tell her what to do. "Just a short lap."

"Lean gently in the directions where you want to go." He leans forward to show her how it's done, moving away slowly.

She does what she's told and doubles over to the front softly, not wanting to go quickly. Just like he said, the broom moves with her, following wherever she decides to go. "This isn't so bad!"

"I told you you would like it." He looks at her with proud eyes. "To go up just sit straighter and it will take you."

Kali sits higher and the broom follows her order, going a bit higher into the sky. She swears she'll touch the cloud but she's just a few feet away from the floor. Still, the feeling is exhilarating.

The wind on her face and the way her hair flows around her. The butterflies in her stomach from the adrenaline. Finally, the way Blaise helped her get here without feeling unsafe. After this, she might want to continue her lessons.

"You look amazing!" Blaise shouts from around her, but she can't place his voice.

She laughs, nodding and looking forward. "This is great!"

They fly around for a while, Kali not wanting to stop. Once she gets used to the feeling, it's like a high. She can't get enough. Her body craves the speed.

Blaise looks around at the way the sky is darkening with clouds, worried that she won't be able to see with the rain. "Kali! Maybe we should leave before the rain comes!"

She shakes her head, ignoring him. "It won't rain! Just a few more minutes." She whooo's and continues to do circles around the pitch.

Her words seem to set off the drops, because it started raining right there. The water was cold and smelled sweet, yet it came pouring, blocking her vision. Blaise was used to this, but Kali got nervous.

"Darling, you need to come down!" Blaise tried to get her attention, but the heavy rain made it impossible for her to see or hear him.

"Blaise! I'm scared!" She shouted to him because she was completely useless floating in the middle of the pitch, but she couldn't see the floor. "Blaise, please!" Her breaths accelerated.

He was closer now. "I'm coming towards you! Don't move!"

She couldn't move even if she wanted to. Some tears fell down her face, scared of the lightning that was cracking just a few feet from them. She was also worried she would break his broom.

It felt like hours before a hand grabbed her and yanked her down to the floor. "Bend your legs." He ordered and she did. They crashed into the floor, her broom falling.

She heard the crack before she could see the broom broken in half. Her throat closed up as she stared at it. "I'm so sorry. I'll buy you a new one."

He laughed as he pulled her under the bleachers. "What?"

Now that they were covered, he could see her splotchy cheeks and her pouty lip. "I broke your broom. I'm so sorry. I'll get you a new one as soon as the rain stops."

"You don't need to do that." He rubs her shoulders, trying to calm her down. "It's just a broom. I'm just glad you're safe."

"Yeah, but it's a new broom and I just broke it."

"It was an accident, and I needed a new one anyway. A better model came out, but you can keep me company as I buy it." His voice was soothing for her.

"Are you sure?" She bit her lip nervously and he nodded.

They stayed under the stands until the rain stopped, which took a while but they got to speaking until then, which seems like a win.
