Didn't know I was in the presence of royalty.

The game was won, but Blaise couldn't really celebrate the win since Kali wasn't there to give him a hug. It scared him how used to her he has gotten. Even his friends count on them for everything now.

Still, he rushed to take a shower, not bothering with drying himself well. He just put on his usual sweatpants and t-shirt that he always wears after a game and almost ran to Kali's dorm.

Carla stayed behind with Draco and Camden to go to the Slytherin party after Blaise insisted he would go talk to Kali. She wanted to see her best friend, but she would eventually get home to her dorm and talk to her.

Simon didn't even try to talk to the Slytherin, he just retreated into the Ravenclaw locker room with a somber look on his face. Camden says it serves him right, and Blaise agrees. He has no sympathy for Chance, not even when he crushed his ego to dust. It was hard to feel bad for a guy who broke his best friend's leg and his girlfriend's— fake girlfriend's heart.

The Hufflepuff common room was pretty empty, since it was a friday night and Slytherin was celebrating. Only a few first years sat around, playing board games. They gaped at Blaise and his green apparel as he walked past them. He doesn't remember ever being that young, but he had to have been as jaded as them.

Once at her dorm, his hand lifted to knock on it. After a few knocks on the wood, Kali finally replied. "Who is it?" Her voice sounded small.

"It's Blaise." Was all he said because he had a feeling she was a bit mad at him, probably because of his sabotage with Simon.

He thought she wouldn't open the door, but after he waited for a few seconds, the door opened a little. Just a sliver of her dorm was seen, but it was enough for him to step in and find her behind the door. He wanted to hug her, but that seemed too forward for her current mood.

She tried to give him a smile, yet it was forced and he noticed. "Congratulations on the win, superstar."

"Thank you, love." He appreciated her attempt to joke and lighten the mood, but a cloud hung on top of her like a stormy night with dementors on the loose. "Are you okay?"

She nodded, but she was biting her lip, trying to regain composure. "Yes, I am." Her voice was strained. "Shouldn't you be celebrating?"

"Not when you are sad in your dorm." He replied, not caring if that's too forward. Blaise sat down on a bed he hoped was hers, but once he smelled her distinct perfume, he knew. "Can you talk to me?"

She sighed and sat across from him, leaving a little space, which didn't go unnoticed by him. "I just feel bad about what we did to Simon. I know it's stupid, but as much as he hurt me I can't bring myself to hate him."

Blaise stared at her until he figured out what to answer. He had no remorse for what he did, but she was obviously hurting. "Do you want to apologize?"

"No," She shook her head. She didn't want to apologize because he would know it was premeditated. She just wished she didn't feel guilt about something as stupid as this. "I just don't want him to take this out on Penelope."

This made Blaise stay eerily silent, his body rigid. "Did he hit you?" He asked, his fists clenched.

This made Kali read back, shaking her head. "Of course not, but he can get mad sometimes. He wouldn't do anything, just give me the silent treatment." She always felt like shit when that happened. "If I would've left his game like I did today he would've been so angry he wouldn't talk to me for a week."

"That sounds horrible." Blaise whispered, his heart aching. With that, he leaned against her headboard, his arms opened in invitation. Kali loved his warmth, so she wasted no time curling up next to him. "You must miss Penelope, huh?"

Kali did miss her, a lot. Yet Penelope made her choice, and Kali tried to be civil, the other girl just iced her out. "I do, but Carla says I shouldn't."

"Nobody should tell you how to feel." Blaise muttered close to her ear. "You know, I like how you express your emotions. It's like I always know what you are thinking."

This made Kali laugh. "I think it's annoying. I can't hide what I feel for people."

"I think it's cute." Blaise said, his tone serious. He did think it was cute, just like everything else about her.

"Do you, now?" She scrunched up her, her face warming up, like it always does around him. "You're ridiculous." She joked, but she liked his compliments.

He acted hurt by her words. "Good thing you like me, or we wouldn't be able to pull this off."

"Mmm, I don't know." A smile was plastered onto her face. "I think tolerate is the better choice."

Blaise scoffed at her. "Nobody can resist The Blaise Zabini."

"Oh, sorry, king." She laughed along with him. "Didn't know I was in the presence of royalty."

"I have money like a royal." He stated, which was true. Him and his mum were loaded.

"Then put it to use and spoil me." Kali replied, surprising him. "It's hard being your fake girlfriend. I have to be the attractive one, the funny one and the smart one. There's only so much a girl can take without a prize."

His fingers found her ticklish spot, just under her ribs. "Say that again."

She laughed, trying to catch her breath. "Stop! Stop!" She was able to say when he slowed down. "You are evil."

"It's the Slytherin in me." He answered, which was a bit true.

The shenanigans of the day and the game had Blaise tired. Plus, Kali's breath tickling his chest and her heartbeat around him made him even sleepier. He started yawning, not wanting to fall asleep without asking if she minded if he stayed over.

She patted his cheek, waking him up a little. "Go to sleep, Zabini. You had a long day." She got off him for a second while he laid down and then placed herself right on top of his chest like her name was written on it.
