What have you got in mind?

Blaise was sitting in his common room, book on his knee and focusing on the writing. Classes were picking up and so was their workload. Due to this, his friends and him were always studying now.

His mind lingered on Kali and how happy she looked when she was flying on her broom. On the other hand, the terrified look on her face when she got stuck in the storm was something that was haunting Blaise.

It had been a few nights since he had gotten sleep, and his body just wasn't feeling slumber. He was sick of his nightmares and was hoping that Camden, who he had confided in about this, could find a cure for it quickly.

Speaking of him, he sat down next to Blaise. "Mate," He started and it was obvious he had some gossip. "I heard Chance has another ploy against our team."

Blaise sighed, defeated with this whole rivalry against Ravenclaw. "I don't even know what to say."

"Is there any way you can throw him off his game?" Camden asked, his eyes brewing a plan.

Blaise rubbed a hand over his mouth, humming while thinking. "What have you got in mind?"

Canden shrugged like he just made it up, but he's been pondering this for hours. "Something with Kali. Let her say something that wounds his ego and the game is yours."

Blaise contemplated it for a moment, but ultimately shook his head. "I don't want to get her involved in this. Chance has hurt her enough." He saw the way Kali's face changed whenever Simon was close and it angered him.

"She's already involved." Camden shrugged, knowing that Kali wouldn't mind helping Blaise with this. "This would probably make him back off."

"I don't think so." Blaise responds while thinking of another plan. "He's an arsehole."

Camden lifts his eyebrows and nods. "Not that I'm pressuring you, but I'm sure she and Carla would be happy to help." They are down for almost anything.

Blaise shrugs, being put in an impossible situation. "I'll ask them later."

Camden nods and stays next to Blaise, his head resting on the back of the couch, just staring into space. "I just want to play again." His voice had an emotional edge to it.

Blaise turned to his friend with understanding. Quidditch was their life, and not being able to play sounds like a nightmare. "Madame Pomfrey said just two more weeks and you're set."

Camden just grumbled under his breath. They had just a few months left of school and he wasn't able to revel in the glory of playing his favorite sport. These memories counted, and he felt like time was wasting away.

The two friends sat quietly together, just studying. This has been a routine for years and they worry about living alone. After knowing each other for so long, leaving for their own adult lives sounds scary, so it was a topic that wasn't brought up, no matter how much the people around them mentioned it.
