You Mean The World To Me

Chapter 26

   It's Wednesday night. Everyone gets home late to the apartment.

Alex goes to Jeremy and asks, "Wanna make dinner together?"

"Yeah!"

"We'll give Jean a day off."

As they pad around the kitchen they whisper to each other and mess around. Kevin comes in at one point to set the table. Out of the corner of his eye he sees them playing around and laughing. He keeps his head down until he's done and can escape to his room.

They eat dinner and discuss grocery shopping. Kevin doesn't chime in. He stares down at his food, in a sour mood.

Jean takes charge, "What snacks do we need Alex?"

"Uh let me think." He chews his food while in thought.

Kevin grumbles, "Get some healthy snacks for once."

"No one asked you Kev."

"Fuck you." Kevin tells Alex in a neutral voice.

"Kevin!" Jeremy drops his fork onto his plate. He gives Kevin a stern look.

Kevin reluctantly holds up his hands in resignation. "Sorry."

"Jean, I'll tell you what we need later."

"...Right." Jean looks around at everyone before continuing to eat.

After, Kevin excuses himself. Jean and Jeremy wash the dishes while Alex stands to the side.

Once finished Jeremy walks over to Alex, "You alright there?"

Alex shakes his head as if he was lost in thought. "Yep."

Kevin walks into the living room just then.

"Oh, right, we all have packages. Let's go open them." Jeremy pats Alex's shoulder.

Everyone sits down on the couch to open packages addressed to them.

Kevin and Jeremy open up boxes of their team's merch. Jean and Alex get their team's merch as well.

Jeremy tosses on a hoodie that's covered in white and blue.

Alex whispers to him, "You look good in that."

They go their separate ways, Alex follows Jeremy to his bedroom.

"Yes?"

"You just look so comfy." He lays on the bed with Jeremy.

"You too." Jeremy admires Alex in his new black hoodie.

Alex wraps his arms around the man, and peppers kisses in his hair. He pushes Jeremy down and smothers him. He buries his face in Jeremy's hair.

The next day Kevin is much calmer. He insisted on helping make dinner. So, Jeremy and him try making something for the four of them. He is very happy because he's gotten to spent all day with Jeremy. He eats dinner with a smile on his face.

"Nice job guys." Alex compliments their cooking.

"Thanks!"

Kevin puts on a serious face, "Thank you."

"Jean, you're out of a job." Alex jokes.

Later, Jean sits down on his bed. He realize what's causing Kevin's mood swings. He knows it's late and decides to wait until the next day to have a talk with Kevin.

While Jean cooks dinner, Kevin sets the table. No one else is around. He knows it's a good time to bring up what's going on.
