The Tiger

The carnival had several game stands.

There was ring toss and games to knock stuff down.

I chose the game where you popped balloons.

The stand operator handed me darts.

I moved the darts close to my face to look.

My finger tip tested out their sharpness.

Usually these games had some kind of trick.

The darts seemed legitimate however.

My eyes studied the pink balloons to hit.

They bounced against each other playfully.

They seemed quite eager for me to pop them.

I flung my dart and one exploded quick.

I fired two more in quick succession now.

Every single dart had hit a target.

The operator told me I did well.

I was given my pick of the prizes.

I pointed to a large, fluffy,  tiger.

My date embraced the tiger lovingly.

"He is the perfect companion," she said.

My hand petted it's head.  "Indeed he is."
