She was texting her friend about her date.

The guy talked about himself all night long.

I'm so tired of guys that are self-absorbed.

Her friend replied she felt the exact same.

Suddenly there was a knock at her door.

Perhaps her dorm mate lost her key again.

She opened the door and saw something strange.

A man in a nice black suit standing there.

He wore an opal mask over his eyes.

A red carnation adorned his lapel.

He waved one hand, a bouquet appeared.

His other hand waved and revealed a box.

She stood there stunned and blushing at the man.

He seemed tall and dapper in appearance.

She took the flowers and the candy box.

The man bowed to her and moved to the side.

To her amazement, the hallway was gone.

Outside was a beautiful little park.

She also spotted a horse and carriage.

Both were matching black and waiting for her.

She was so stunned she could not comprehend.

The gentleman took her hand and kissed it.

Soon he planted kisses up her forearm.

Her blush had overtaken her whole face.

"Will you accompany me?" He asked her.

"I have nothing good to wear," she replied.

"You are always a vision," he replied,

"Nonetheless I shall honor your request."

He waved his arm over her whole body.

Her outfit transformed as if by magic.

Now she wore a sleek, backless, crimson gown.

He took her arm and walked her to the horse.

She gently petted the creatures thick mane.

He helped her step into the black carriage.

He sneakily stole a kiss on her neck.

"Forgive me, for you are beyond tempting."

The carriage soon began its journey forth.

She nervously tucked her hair and giggled.

"Your smile is the highest pleasure to me."

The journey of the carriage never ends.

Her friend would search for her relentlessly.

No sign of her with family or friends.

No one saw her leave the dorm room that night.

She had vanished like a dream in the night.
