Gossip to Forget Sarah

Sarah never saved me a dance.

She got caught up in playing golf.

So like that I lost my one chance.

Sometimes my heart still feels engulfed.

I read gossip magazines now.

It is fun to observe drama.

Ray cheats, does drugs, and stole a cow.

He never had a good mama.

Life was never interesting.

So we make up some crazy stuff.

Something wild to give life a zing.

A zebra married pillow fluff.

A zombie will be emperor

God went out and joined a Ska band.

Heaven became high end condos

Hell is now a tanning salon.

The stories just aren't grabbing me.

They can't make me forget the world.

I can't wash Sarah out to sea.

My head still drifts after that girl

Walnuts have become cannibals.

The cactus can teleport you.

Australia is a space ship

Is anyone buying this act?

Fiction is so temporary.

Essays will put a man to sleep.

Nonfiction is just too scary.

Poetry is a nerdy creep.

What will bring Sarah back to stay?

Is golf so much better than us?

It doesn't matter what I say.

Sarah is gone; Accept it, I must.
