Freedom is a complicated concept.
It can mean freedom from some oppression.
It could mean the freedom to do something.
Freedom is internal and external
Some say true freedom is indifference.
When you no longer care about your life.
If you don't care, nothing can cause you pain.
The monk can make you free from suffering.
Yet, what is the point of such a freedom?
To not care, means to not feel joy either.
This freedom is the freedom of the dead.
We need a freedom for the living man.
Some say freedom is to possess power.
Wars were fought to give power to people.
Many terrible tyrants were brought down.
New nations were born with this great freedom.
This freedom brings a new question; What now?
Some choose this and some have chosen that way.
Groups form and fight to dominate our home.
Freedom to choose means you can choose wrongly.
Freedom is an inescapable truth.
The choice has always been in our own hands.
To be alive here and now is choice.
We live with the responsibility.
