A Lady in Red

The tavern was raging with customers.

It had become difficult to get drinks.

Drunks were giggling and falling over.

I rolled my eyes and walked out of the place.

The night was young, so I searched for a bar.

As I wandered, I met a red haired gal.

Her long hair traveled down her neck and back.

Her dark crimson skirt showed off her long legs.

She smiled at me, her lipstick looking fresh.

"What are you upto tonight?" She questioned.

"Looking for a place to drink," I replied.

She said she knew about a hidden spot.

She said it was called, "The Bloody Mary."

I didn't recognize the name at all.

I thought I knew all the watering holes.

She ran her fingers through her fire red hair.

"I think we could have fun." She touched my arm.

I smirked at her flirtatious behavior.

She told me to follow her and I did.

I looked her over and noticed something.

Her blouse, skirt, hair, lips, and nails were all red.

She was a walking pallete of red shades.

It seemed odd, yet she remained seductive.

She looked back at me with a saucy smile.

I smiled back and continued to follow.

I looked around a bit and was confused.

I had never ever been on these roads.

I have lived in this town my entire life.

Yet I had no idea where I was?

I looked back at the red temptress leading.

Her clothing seemed to have gotten tighter.

It revealed the sexy shape of her form.

She suddenly stopped and stood very still.

I bumped into her accidentally.

"Is everything okay?" I asked concerned.

She turned to me, her skin seemed paler now.

She wrapped her arms around my neck and smiled.

I leaned in and pressed my lips against hers.

Her lips felt like they were burning my lips.

I pulled away and her eyes opened up.

They were glowing a bright red, no pupils.

I shuddered for a moment. "What are you?"

"You know you don't care," her voice echoed out.

I looked and pitch black was all around us.

I stepped back slowly out of the street light.

I bumped into someone behind me now.

I turned and it was her I backed into.

Every time I walked away I was back.

"You can't ignore how that kiss felt," she said.

I looked all around and saw no way out.

I gave in and embraced her fiery form.

My whole body was burned to a cinder.
