Heaven is Where You Are

You wore a purple turtle neck sweater.

Your smile had a shy playfulness to it.

It was hard not to be captivated.

That gentle spirit held all of my strings.

When you laughed, a warmth overtook my chest.

When you looked at me, I felt so alive.

When you played with your hair, I fell in love.

You blew a kiss that hit like an arrow.

Hours were spent in my mind thinking of you.

I would daydream about dancing with you.

I would picture us in the books I read.

I would lie in bed wishing you were there.

The minutes create hours, hours create days.

Time can stretch on for an eternity.

It's not enough time to show all my love.

An angel deserves an infinity.

I admire the perfect face that God had carved.

Your body is a garden lush with life.

I will happily traverse clouds with you.

Heaven becomes wherever you reside.
