After the War

The phoenix bursts into flames.

We uncorked the wine bottle.

A toast to winning our games.

The enemy's neck throttled.

Life will never be the same.

The spoils of war are settled.

The world does not know my name.

I hate that we are little.

We want our lives to matter.

It all ends tragically.

Everything just disappears.

It's a gift on a platter.

Freedom in reality.

Do what you want without fears.
