Quinn
I reached down and gripped my sensitive skin between the pad of my fingers in a gentle rubbing motion.
"EW! What are you doing! I eat there!" Maya blurted.
Success. She'd been walking by and I'd been getting rather bored since my sleep was cut short half an hour ago.
I cluck my tongue twice and mumbled incoherent sounds in effort to provoke her. She was either shocked speechless or... I need to take it up a notch. Since opening my eyes would give me away, I reached down again, untucking fabric that wasn't really stuck to my balls. I wasn't one to turn in my sleep.
I felt Seth nearing before I heard him and only because he let me. After our trip to the Parasite's castle, we'd stayed up most of the last couple of nights. We'd been having pack members pour in. Seth had kept his word and his bond to us were still wide open. He'd insisted on full transparency. He wasn't on no evil witch's side or possessed by a demon.
The gesture left him vulnerable to every feeling and thought he could grasp from us and it showed. Just now he winced. I got an impression of, I felt it out, Miguel. The prick was a hair breadth dominant.
Seth's gesture was supposed to be comforting but the pack picked up on impressions towards them as well. Seth wasn't a perfect man and his wolf was... let's say, unpleasant.
I was beginning to think our Alpha idiot liked being in pain.
I repeat the scratching motion from earlier as if the itch had returned, wondering how Maya would get back at me. Not too long ago, Shaw had stepped out of the shower with neon green hair and partly green pubes.
I sensed the pillow and swatted it away. I opened my eyes to grin up at Maya who was grumbling at me under her breath. Seth was right behind her so I bit back my response.
"You're not supposed to eat on the couch." Seth drawled.
Maya didn't turn around as she mouthed, "blah, blah, blah," with her back to her father. My mouth dropped when she turned and leaned up on her tippy toes. She planted a kiss on her father's cheek, "I love you dad."
The balls on this girl. It's a pity she wasn't born a wolf.
"I love you far away from my cars." he muttered and added quickly, "and bikes," for good measure. Seth grimaced. I got the feeling that he was refraining from listing the other modes of transportation we owned because it'll give her ideas.
Maya crossed her arms, "Whatever."
Seth kept a careful eye on his daughter as he addressed me, "And Quinn, the idiot's mate ran out of cereal."
His clear underlaying command gave me pause and I struggled to understand his words, "Huh?"
He shifted his glaze onto me at last.
Oops.

Kaitlin
She looked to be about the age of Sethan's daughter but her skin was a few shades darker, as was her eyes. Her left shoulder lifted like she hadn't a care in the world as she slides what she needs on my counter.
That's when her words give her away, "College won't pay itself."
I hadn't asked.
What she does is none of my business. My mind does fly to Augustus looming behind me when the demon made a point to lower his voice as he whispered to me, He's playing you child. His eyes had definitely budged towards Augustus and proceeded to dart to the space where the Augustus' witch had laid with a gapping hole where her heart should've been.
