Rouge

I waited in the tavern, as Midnight watched the wedding happen.

After a little week of planning we were finally having mine and Knuckles's wedding.

I was so excited yet also super nervous for some reason.

"Alright, I think they're ready for you, Rouge, you ready?" Asked Midnight as she looked over at me.

"Yeah...I hope so." I said as I stood up.

"Don't worry Rouge. This is gonna be amazing. You've been waiting months to get married to the love of your life and now it's happening!" Said Amy, who gently patted my shoulder.

I felt like that was the push I needed. I felt ready.

"You're right, Amy. Thanks girls." I said.

I breathed in as they started our procession and then walked out.

Knuckles stood at the gazebo with the local priest as the officiant.

Shadow stood off to the side as Knuckles's best man.

I walked up and smiled, holding a bouquet of daisies from Raven's garden.
Everyone from town and who was on the ship came to the wedding.
Though this wedding wasn't perfect, it was still beautiful.

We said our vow speeches and then the priest spoke.

"Do you, Knuckles Funa Echidna, take Rouge to be your lawfully wedded wife, through sickness and in health? Do you promise to be faithful to her in every trial and into death?"

"I do."

"And do you, Rouge Adriene Bat, take Knuckles to be your lawfully wedded husband, through sickness and through health? Do you promise to be faithful to him in every trial and into death?"

I took a breath in and said it.

"I do."

"Then I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may now kiss the bride."

I laughed and hugged Knuckles and kissed him, tossing my bouquet to Amy.

Everyone cheered as we kissed.

I was now married, married to the love of my life. And I couldn't be happier.

Shadow

I clapped as Rouge and Knuckles kissed, happy for my chosen sister's marriage.

They broke their kiss and then turned to the crowd with irreplaceable smiles.

"Now how about we get a celebration started!" Said Rouge.

Soon the entire town circle was in celebration of the married couple.

We were dancing around while others played music.

The entire town was abuzz with merriment.

Drinks and food was passed around, as music played. It reminded me of the night when we blew up the cove.

Rouge and Knuckles were in the center of all the dancing.
Rouge had kicked off her heels to dance.

Sonic and I were sitting together, watching happily.

"Do you think you and I will have a wedding like this?" Asked Sonic with a grin.

"Maybe, perhaps it will be even better." I chuckled.

As music played, in the distance I could hear the bell ringing, signaling a new ship had docked.

I ignored it though, seeing as it was nothing.
