On the plane, we settle down as we head back to Chicago. But then Lindsey is jumping up, messing with the buttons.
"What are you doing?" Theo asks, seeming annoyed.
"I think..." Music suddenly blasts through the speakers, and she spins around. "We should celebrate!"
"Can't we just sleep?" Lucas whines.
"We should at least have some fun before we're back to working and being busy all the time." She places her hands on her hips. "Come on, it'll be just like high school."
"I can't tell if that's a good thing." Theo comments. Me and Lucas snicker.
"Come on. Indulge me for just a little while." She practically begs.
"Who knew singing would bring out a new Lindsey." Lucas snorts.
Lindsey walks over to them, pulling them to their feet, then she does the same with me. "Come on." She runs back to the panel, Club Can't Handle Me by Flo Rida blaring through the speakers.
"Before we do this, I need something to drink." Theo announces, and the two of them snag glasses of alcohol.
Me and Lindsey dance to the music, smiles on our faces. When Theo and Lucas join in, singing the lyrics and dancing, it really does feel like high school all over again. I guess with Lindsey, it always feels like that. Like we're young again, dancing at parties we weren't even invited to and practicing in my garage.
Lindsey jumps on my back, and we all laugh, enjoying ourselves and the music. After about an hour and a half, two hours, we tire ourselves out and end up back on the couches, Lindsey's head laying on my shoulder.
Her breath is soft and even, telling me she's asleep. I interlock our fingers, squeezing ever so slightly.
"You two make me feel single." Lucas sighs. Theo is passed out next to him, drunk. Half of his body is laying on the couch while his legs are on the floor. I'm sure that's uncomfortable.
"Then maybe you should get your own girl." I retort, leaning my head back with my eyes shut.
"I want SiSi." He grumbles.
I lift my head, looking at him confused. "Who's SiSi?"
"Sierra." He sighs, almost dreamily. I roll my eyes, dropping my head back. I feel a hand on my shoulder, waking me.
I didn't even realize I fell asleep.
I look up, finding the pilot standing at the side. I realize now that me and Lindsey are laying on the couch, my arm strewn across her stomach with our fingers laced together.
"Apologies for disturbing you, but we'll be landing in about a half-hour." He informs, and I blow out a breath, rubbing my eyes.
"Okay. Thank you." I whisper. He nods, returning to the cockpit. "Lindsey," I whisper, pressing kisses to her shoulder and her neck, and she stirs. "We have to get up." She lets out a soft groan, stuffing her face into her arm. Her body relaxes and I realize she went back to sleep. "Lindsey," I kiss her earlobe. "Do I have to tickle you to wake you up?"
