𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐒𝐄𝐘
For the past five years, I've managed to avoid him. I've managed to forget about him and move on from him. Mostly. Alex Lancaster and I have history, but nothing will ever change between us.
At least until he shows up at my dad's work...

I hear a clattering in the kitchen and follow it, my hand against my head. My head is pounding so hard, it feels like I'm being shaken.
I squint against the brutal lighting, Alex making something in the kitchen. "Hey, you sleep well? I'd hope so considering you woke me up puking four times."
I grunt in response. "I feel like someone is repeatedly hitting me in the head with a hammer." I find a spot at the island, plopping down and dropping my head down on my arms.
"Well, I may just have a solution to your hangover." He says.
I whine. "My head hurts."
"Yeah, yeah, you big baby. Here." I hear something like glass clinking on the counter and look up, finding some kind of stew in a bowl.
"What is this?" I slide the bowl to me.
"A recipe I got from Rhys."
"You got a recipe from my boss?" I squint at him, partially from the light and partially because he got a recipe from my boss. I didn't even know they were close.
"Yeah." He nods. "He said it works for Naomi all the time, so he gave me the recipe."
I shrug, deciding to just eat it. Maybe it'll actually help with my headache.
"Did you and Lanie have fun last night?" He quirks a brow at me as I take a bite.
"Well, Lanie was more sober than I was." I state. I don't even remember what all happened after the second round of drinks.
"Anything else happen?" I slow my chewing at his words, giving him a suspicious look.
I swallow. "What do you mean?"
"You don't know, do you?" He looks at me amused, looking as if he's trying to suppress a smile. I tilt my head slightly, confused. He pulls out his phone, pulling something up, then slides it across the counter to me. "That was posted this morning."
I watch the video he has on his phone. It's a video of me dancing on a table to Yeah! by Usher. "Oh, god." I groan, dropping my head on my arms.
"I'd pay for a dance like that." He comments, and my head snaps up. I glare at him and he takes a step back, clearing his throat. "I mean, who said that?" He looks around, pretending as if those words didn't just come from his mouth.
I sigh, sitting up. "That video is going to go viral."
"Well, considering the three million likes on the video, I'd say it already did..." My eyes bulge and my jaw drops.
"Three million?!"
"Oh, my god, Lindsey, did you see this video?" Amelia comes running into the kitchen, her attention glued to her phone. She looks at the counter, where Alex's phone sits, and points. "Hey, that's the video that's going viral."
