𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐒𝐄𝐘
For the past five years, I've managed to avoid him. I've managed to forget about him and move on from him. Mostly. Alex Lancaster and I have history, but nothing will ever change between us.
At least until he shows up at my dad's work...

It's been six months.
Six months since I've been on my phone. Six months since me and the band were on social media. Six months since I last saw Lindsey.
I was an idiot for not telling her. I should've left a note or a message, but the only thing that I could think of was getting to Arizona. I stopped using my common sense and just left. Even after I promised.
I know it's a farfetch. She's probably moved on by now. But I hope she doesn't hate me. God, please don't let her hate me.
Knocking on the apartment door, I feel nerves churn inside me. The door opens and I expect to see Lindsey, but instead there's a man behind the door. Did she move?
"Can I help you?" He asks.
"Uhh, is Lindsey home?"
"No. She works weekdays." He furrows his brows. "What do you need my girlfriend for?"
Girlfriend. She's his girlfriend. He's her boyfriend. She's moved on.
"Oh, it's-it's nothing. Sorry to bother you." I give him a fake smile.
He nods unsurely. "Okay." I walk away and hear the door shut.
She's got a boyfriend. She moved on. And I'm glad she's happy. If I hadn't left, none of this would've happened.
But I know exactly where to go to find her. Her boyfriend clearly didn't know who I was.
Walking into Cyber Tech, I take note of all the security guards and cameras surrounding the place. What all happened while I was gone? I walk up to the front desk, smiling kindly at her. "Hi, I'm here to see Lindsey Hayes."
"Do you have an appointment?" The woman behind the desk asks.
"Ah, no."
"Do you have a keycard?" She raises her eyebrows.
My brows furrow. Keycard? Since when did they have those? "No..."
"Then I can't let you in." She shakes her head.
"Well, can you call her down? I-I need to talk to her." She needs to know what happened. She needs to know why all of this happened.
"I can give her a message, tell her you were here?"
"No. I—" I hear the sound of talking and heels clicking against the floor. Turning to look over my shoulder, I find Rhys and Naomi walking inside with their heads in the tablet in Rhys's hands. I turn to them, Naomi pointing at something, then she's looking up. She's the first to notice me.
Her face changes, and just by the look on her face alone, I know something happened.
