I blow out a breath as I step off the stairs, walking toward the kitchen where Gianna works her magic, Amelia, Jane, James, and Alex in the living room.

"Morning." I say, stepping into the kitchen.

"Good morning, dear. I hope you slept well?" She asks, smiling up at me.

I nod. "Yeah." Somewhat. "What's for breakfast?"

"French toast."

"Oo, yum." I smile. "Can I get something to drink?"

"Of course, dear. You don't even have to ask. Cups are in the cabinet on the left, there's also pop and other kinds of drinks in the fridge." She tells, and I thank her. I open the fridge and grab a coke out, opening it and drinking it.

I take it with me, finding a spot beside Alex on the couch while he argues with Amelia about something.

Then I remember I came downstairs primarily for the chapstick in my purse. "I'll be back." I tell him, standing up and walking to my purse sitting on the small table by the door. I hear a door shut and glance out the mirror beside the door as I'm looking through the purse and look out the window. My eyes widen when I realize who I'm staring at. "No. Freaking. Way."

I rip open the door, running down the stairs. The minute our eyes lock, she's throwing her bag to someone else and running toward me.

"Oh, my god!" I grin, wrapping my arms around her. She aged like fine wine. We rock back and forth, laughing before we pull away. "I can't believe you're here."

"You can't believe it? I can't believe you're here!" She smiles widely, gesturing to me. "I can't believe it's been all these years!"

I smile, then I'm wrapping my arms around her again. "I'm so glad you're here, Lanie."

She laughs, rocking us again, then we're pulling away and I notice a guy walking up to us, holding the bag she threw.

"Daniel?" I ask in disbelief. I can't believe he's still here.

"The one and only." He smiles. "How you been, Lynn?"

"I'm good. I'm good." I nod, smiling. "So, are you two still together?" I look between the two.

"Yep." He nods.

"We're married!" Lanie grins, holding her hand up to show the ring.

I take her hand with a wide smile. "Oh, my god! Lanie, that's amazing!" I turn to Daniel and punch him — lightly — in the arm. "I knew you'd grow a pair and pop the question."

If there's anything I know about these two, it's that they were born to be high school sweethearts. Sure, they had a few rough patches during high school, but now they're married and happy. Their relationship is an entire rom-com.

"Yeah, yeah." Daniel rolls his eyes. "Where's Alex?"

"He's inside." Daniel nods, walking toward the door.

Lanie links her arm through mine as we walk — albeit slowly — to the door. "So, Lisa Normandy's throwing a party at her house tonight."

"Lisa Normandy? She's still here?"

"Oh, yeah." She nods with a smile. "But she's having a party and I was thinking...we could hang out like old times."

"Sounds to me like you want to crash a party." I retort with a smug smile.

"You in?" She looks at me with a smirk.

My face matches. "Oh, I'm in."
