"Interesting." Niki spoke in such a way that also made me interested in him, I don't know, something about his words made me just feel lured into him.

I suppose this is exactly what the girls were talking about, I'm not surprised half - or even more - of the school have fallen for him.

If I didn't have such a strong sense of pride, I would've shamelessly fell too.

"Are you seriously gonna post it? Or are you just gonna read it." I rethought about it again, maybe he would actually be honest and post it, but then again, I have no idea about this guy.

"What? You don't trust me?" He scoffed, with a cocky smile.

"Wouldn't trust you even if my life depended on it." I crossed my arms, holding my defensive walls up high.

He seemed to find this super amusing, even giving out chuckles from my comments from time to time.

"Come on then, let's put it to the test. Hand me the letter over, and we'll see if your penpal writes back or not, then you'll figure out if I'm trustworthy." Niki offered, and I gave it another thought, looking out of the window.

Okay, well, even if my penpal didn't receive the letter, I suppose I could just send another one. There's not really much harm in this deal we're making, so, with a little bit of hesitancy, I held the letter out, he took it with his hand and placed it in the side compartment of his car.

I stared at his side profile as he carelessly continued driving - okay - well, maybe he really didn't have any malicious intentions.

"You irritate me." I muttered to myself, but Niki gave a short chuckle, which made me think that I said that a little too loud.

"Your stop Haeun, don't forget your sister." Niki pulled up outside of my house, and I just shot him a glare.

"Don't forget my letter." I warned him, my gaze sharp and serious as his was more playful and witty.

"Yeah yeah, for sure, whatever." He watched as I got out of his car, then opened the backseat door, and dragged Eunmi the hell out of that car.

"SEONHO!!" She extended her arm out, acting as if she was in some really dramatic scene of a movie, leaving her boyfriend - which may I add - wasn't even her boyfriend officially.

I dragged Eunmi further and further away, just as I reached my door, I turned my head to see if Niki was still there. But to my own surprise, he was, watching as I made it home safely.

As I opened the door, only then, he drove away, his engine rumbling and probably waking up half the neighbourhood.

That guy is seriously something.

I hurriedly opened the door, oh yeah, our mother is definitely gonna kill us now.

TWO DAYS LATER

First day of school came closer than I realised, by the time I caught up with everything, I was already at the campus gates, heading in alone while most people were in a pair or a group.

Already, I felt like a little outcast, but despite that, I couldn't let that defeat my personality. Come on, I'm literally Haeun.

With a deep breath, I head inside the actual building, and just as I did that, the bell rang, students rushing in left, right and centre.

-

My first classes were decent, it passed by quicker than I could even recognise and by the time I knew it, my feet were subconsciously heading towards the cafeteria.

None of the girls I met were in my classes, so it made me quite paranoid to whether they'd let me sit on their table again, and if they were not just letting me sit on the table for the sake of the headteacher.

But as I head in, I met eyes with Mina, and she gingerly approached me with a smile, dragging me over to the same exact table, the same table that was shared with a certain group of boys.

All of the boys weren't sat down yet, only three out of seven were on the table, and I was intrigued to see one guy in specific come and sit down.

Despite my thoughts, Jihyun snapped me out of my cloud of daze.

"How were your classes Haeun? Did you like them?" She inquired with a pure smile, and I nodded with a lighter smile.

"Yeah, I mean, they were fine." I shrugged, giving a faint chuckle.

Out of the blue, the remainder four guys came and sat back down on the table, more in specific, Niki had came to the table. He sat down, his gaze directed straight to me, and as we looked at each other, he gave a smirk, looking away and back to his friends.

"Do you know your way around Seoul yet? I mean, I bet it's hard coming from so far away to such a large city, oh girl, next time we go to a party, we'll definitely invite you." Go-eun looked at me innocently, unaware that I've pretty much accustomed to Seoul already.

"I've actually already been to a party here." I told them nonchalantly, they all dart their heads to look at me, in shock.

Another guy too, glanced over at me, I could feel his cold stare directly at me.

"Really? And how was it?" Yoojung eagerly jumped, wanting to know about my experience.

I thought for a while, I didn't need to think, I just wanted to build suspense.

Then, I proceeded to stare Niki directly in the eyes.

"It was boring." I abruptly told them, to which Niki gave an inaudible chuckle, looking away from me as I did the same.
