"Haeun." She said my name, and my name only, her gaze fixated on me as I just choked out a chuckle.

Well, I was probably safe right now since there was a guest here, but as soon as Niki leaves, I know I'm fucked.

"I'll be back in a second." I hurried upstairs with no further notice, leaving Niki downstairs with the wraith of my own mother, she was probably so pissed that I didn't come home last night - and to add to it, came home at this time with a guy.

She'll get over it, I'm sure she will.

Regardless, at the speed of light to try and not make Niki feel extremely awkward with her downstairs, I changed, changed as quickly as I possibly could.

I honestly was expecting the worst, I expected to come downstairs and see my mother throwing Niki out of the house, or beating him with a wooden spatula for even exchanging a word with me.

But upon coming downstairs, meekly and peering around a wall, I noticed the two were actually having a civil conversation, one where my own mother - seemed to be enjoying his company.

Oh, but as soon as I came around the corner from the wall, in sight, my mother's expression changed immensely.

She was probably mad at me, for not telling her about Niki - that was one, and two, not coming home last night.

But either way, that's a problem for another day. Niki stood up, his eyes attached onto me despite the fact that my mother was still speaking to him.

"Haeun, you better come home early today." My mother shot me glares as I just pressed my lips together, Niki giving a smirk as he walked towards me, his back facing my mother.

Damn this man.

I just nodded quickly, following Niki behind and getting the fuck out of this house, damn, the atmosphere in there was heavy.

Niki just laughed to himself as he glanced back at me, seeing how tense I looked and how awkward my face seemed to be.

"You're fucked, all I'm saying." He shrugged, cockily spinning his car keys around his finger before proceeding to unlock his car.

"Don't think just because she didn't yell at you just then, that you're safe - she's a very unpredictable woman." I scoffed at his pure audacity, and to think that he thinks he's on safe terms with my own mom?

"Mhhm, I already know she likes me." Niki looked over at me, observing my face as I sat in the passenger's side of the car.

I blankly looked at him, before proceeding to roll my eyes and fold my arms.

"So? Where's this mysterious place you're taking me then." I looked away from Niki, and out of the window, not because there was anything interesting outside, but purely because I don't think I could manage another second of eye contact with this man.

Niki gave a chuckle to himself before driving off, not saying a word more and absolutely not replying to my question.

Sure, it kind of annoyed me when people wouldn't tell me things like this, but it's whatever, it is Niki after all, I can't complain too much.

In the end, he led me to some kind of building. It was a tall skyscraper, the kinds of buildings you see in movies in which large business owners usually have.

I stepped out of the car, looking at him in pure confusion, but he didn't say anything - at all.

He just gave a gentle smile, and waited for me to come over to him, in which I did, and linked my arms with his.

The two of us head inside, and honestly, I have never been more confused in my life before, heading into a relatively pretty busy lobby, I would've thought that Niki was giving a tour of some kind of job he got, or whatever, but then again - that's not really like Niki, is it?

We hopped into an elevator, where he pressed a button, and the ride began.

"Seriously, what is this." I chuckled, very confused as Niki just looked down at me, an adoring grin on his face.

"Just wait." He gave me a light smile, before planting a quick kiss on my forehead.

The doors of the elevator pinged open, and Niki essentially dragged me along, I was just caught up in the decor of this floor, it was rather dim, yet cool in a way.

And from there, he guided us to a room, where he entered a pin, and the door opened, revealing a dark studio, empty, with a few mellow lights lighting up the room, and a computer, with a tracklist of songs on it.
