TWO WEEKS LATER

I was so consumed with my new school life. Within the amount of time I became friends with the girls, they've already explained most of the cliques in the school - who to avoid, where the best places are and so on.

And we even managed to go out as a group which was honestly the cutest thing I've ever done since moving.

I completely forgot to reply to Riki, completely. It came out of my head, and whenever I remembered that I forgot to write back, I was always in a very inconvenient place.

Just like right now. I was sat in the cafeteria with the girls, talking and then the sudden reminder came back to me.

Oh shit, It's been two weeks since his last letter and I still haven't replied.

But, once again, cutting me out of my thoughts, was the yelling of one of Niki's friends, Sunoo. I turned my head back, looking at the group of seven boys who just walked into the cafeteria.

Sunoo had his arm around Niki, chanting something loudly as people looked in excitement and eagerness.

They came closer to our table after, sitting on their half. Sunoo leant on the table, looking over at our group.

"Hey, you guys. You hear? Niki's birthday party, hosted at Sunghoon's place this weekend." Sunoo reiterated what he was just yelling in the hall to us.

Go-eun turned her head, rolling her eyes and staring at Sunoo with such a fed up expression.

"I think everybody heard you Sunoo." Go-eun snapped back, as Sunoo just gave a bitter chuckle, shaking his head lightly.

"Good thing your little sad group isn't coming, cause then the party would be a total buzzkill." Sunoo continued retorting back and forth with us.

"Little sad group? The only thing sad is your friends. Imagine being known for being a fuckboy in this school." Yoojung gave a breathy chuckle.

"Fuckboy? I see that Haeun has taught you that word." Niki interject, turning to look at me from the other side of the table.

The girls looked over at me, probably wondering what the correlation between me and Niki was.

I just gave them a shrug, not really bothered by his remark.

"Am I wrong?" I looked over to Niki, a smirk tracing my lips as he just glared over at me, the corner of his lips curving upwards in amusement.

And just in perfect timing, Yejin, Niki's supposed new chick, came and joined onto the table, sitting next to Niki.

I raised my brows, feeling the utter joy of this good timing inside me. Niki, on the other hand, was not amused, he let out a low grunt, clearly not satisfied.

"Oh, the girl herself, Yejin, let me think - Niki's fucktoy number three." I added with a scoff, Niki just shot me a glare as Yejin furrowed her brows at me, evidently not liking me already.

Sorry girl, the truth can be healing sometimes.

"Shut up village girl, I know you're dying for a chance just to be with him, well, let me tell you - won't ever happen." She spat back bitterly, throwing nasty glances at me.

I just laughed.

"Thank god." I shook my head, rolling my eyes as the girls laughed at my comment. I could see Niki was in a thought of something, staring at me with this sharp eyes of his once more, he seemed to be looking at me, intrigued.

"Haeun, what's your last class?" Niki suddenly cut off the two arguments of our groups, either side of me.

Everybody on the table went silent, looking at the two of us back and forth.

"Chemistry, why?" I raised a brow, wondering what he could possibly want from me.

He didn't reply, just hummed for a second and nodded his head slowly, turning his gaze back to his friends.

Just before the bell rang, I excused myself from the table, the girls watched as I left. I had to head back to my home room for a brief moment.

I made my way through the corridors, I don't think I've ever seen them so empty before. But regardless, I enjoyed this peace and quiet, finding my home room without getting lost.

I gave a small sigh, but before I stepped inside myself, a force pushed me right inside. I was took aback, and immediately turned around, wondering who the fuck had the audacity to do something like that.

But, I probably should've seen this coming. Niki leant on the door, keeping it shut as he glared down at me, very dissatisfied.

"Oh my god." I muttered under my breath, rolling my eyes and folding my arms as he stood in the way of the door, blocking the only entrance and exit.

"What the hell is your problem?" Niki spoke, a sound of frustration in his voice.
