The corner of my lip curled slightly in agitation, but regardless, I allowed him to walk around with me, despite having no sense of direction, I just led wherever my feet took me.

Niki suddenly broke the silence.

"You said the party was boring? How so." His voice was quite low, and not much of a question, more of a demand for me to answer.

"What can I say? It was just boring." I vaguely replied, shrugging lightly, "Been to better ones back in my hometown."

Niki turned his head to look at me.

"Gwangju?" He asked, and initially, I wondered how the hell he knew that.

"How'd you know?" I turned to look at him, furrowing my brows lightly in suspicion.

"Overheard when you were talking to Go-eun and those others." Niki briefly cleared his throat, facing forward again.

I suppose that was a reasonable answer, I really did think he stalked me or something, but nevermind, maybe I should learn to close my mouth sometimes.

"Oh."

"What's the difference between parties in Gwangju and ones in Seoul?" Niki continued asking me about the party, and I just gave a light sigh.

"Simply put, the ones back in Gwangju were just better, judging by the only party I've been to in Seoul, all anybody wants in those parties is to hook up." My words seemed to make Niki raise his brow lightly.

"What, did someone offer to take you home?" He gave a short laugh as if he didn't believe me. How fucking rude.

I stared at him, as if I was offended.

"Are you saying I'm not fine enough to be a one night stand?" I let out a bitter scoff, "I'll let you know that the next party I go to, I'll be sure to take three guys home with me."

Niki gave a moment of laughter, looking at me in disbelief.

I said what I said.

"It's the fact that I didn't even say anything remotely on those lines, you just randomly accused me of saying you weren't good looking enough to pull guys in." Niki shook his head with a smile, looking to the ground for a short second.

"You suggested it. But anyways, real talk, I'm getting sick of walking around aimlessly, where the hell is the exit?" I turned to look at Niki, and he just looked back at me, a smirk forming on his lips once more.

"I thought you said you knew where you were going?" Niki had this conceited tone of voice, damn right this guy knew he was hot as hell, without a doubt.

"Jesus fucking christ, fine, do you really want me to say it? I don't, now find me the exit." I rolled my eyes, giving in defeat, there was no point of lying anymore.

"You're completely the opposite of what I expected of you Haeun." Niki muttered to himself quietly, and as he said so, I looked at him, wondering what the hell that is supposed to even mean.

But regardless, he redirected me in the way of the exit, and I found myself stood in front of the huge entrance of the school. The rain was still pouring like crazy, and I rubbed my face, knowing what awaits me as soon as I step into the outside grounds of the campus.

"Aw, looks like it's still raining." Niki had this really condescending way of speaking towards me, and I just grit my teeth together, staring at him with irritation.

How could a guy like him be so fucking annoying? Who the hell raised him to be like this??

"Good thing that I have no issue with the rain then." Another lie, one thing about me was that I hated rain, absolutely hated walking in it. Being inside while it rained was okay, and sleeping while it was raining was great too, but walking in it? I especially hated it.

Niki raised an eyebrow lightly, staring at me as if he knew fine well I was lying.

"Your face says otherwise, you know, I could drop you off home - if you wait for me." Niki offered, and I just laughed at his offer.

"I would rather drown in this rain than ever get in a car with you again." And with that, I turned my back on him, walking out of the school and into the rain.

Maybe this was a mistake, as the raindrops were heavier than expected, and I'd probably look as if I had showered by the time I got home.

But, relentlessly, I refused to stoop down again. I did it once, and I will not do it again. My mother did not raise me to be a little bitch.

So, with that being said, I trudged my way back home, completely drenched in water by the time I made it to the gates of my house.

I opened it frantically, my hands were red and freezing up from how cold it was too. I stepped in, looking like a wet dog, and my mother quickly scurried to me.

"HAEUN! Are you out of your goddamn mind??!!" She hurried upstairs to grab a towel.
