THE NEXT MORNING

My neck was a little stiff, and judging from the position I slept in, I wasn't really surprised.

The two of us fell asleep, I had my head resting on his chest, while he was just laying, calmly sleeping with zero worries in the world.

I sat up from his chest, my hand on the nape of my neck and gently massaging the area. Damn, despite the uncomfortable sensation in my neck, it was one of the best naps I've probably ever had.

I glanced over at Niki, and he moved his head gently, then proceeded to open his eyes, adjusting to the light peering through the window.

He was confused at first, evident by the look on his face, then he proceeded to sit up and stretch, the lower half of his shirt subtly raising upwards ever so slightly.

He gazed over at me, a light smile on his face, his face was puffy still, his 'asshole' kind of ambiance he carries along with him immediately diminishing.

How could you even stay mad at such a guy like him?

"Sleep well?" He gave a chuckle as I just stared at his face, a subconscious smile protruding from my lips just solely looking at him.

"I guess." I rolled my eyes, looking away from him with a smile.

He proceeded then to just suddenly wrap his arms around me, pulling me close to him and hugging me tightly. He put his face close to mine, our cheeks practically touching as he gave a light sigh.

"I want to be your boyfriend Haeun, that's all I wish for right now." Niki gave a low murmur, his arms still around me tightly, as if he refused to let go.

I pressed my lips together, trying to supress the smile that was so adamant on peering out, sure, he may have said some things that just didn't come out right - but this guy never really failed at making my heart literally run around my body.

I slowly turned my head to look at him, the proximity between our two faces was literally unimaginable. He looked at me, as I, at him.

"I thought we agreed on this yesterday.." I couldn't hide my smile at this point, and as my words became audible to him, his smile only grew in size.

"Had to make sure, thank you Haeun." Niki pulled in for a quick, but sweet kiss.

I had finally gotten the happy ending I most definitely deserved, though I wasn't quite sure what the girls would think, since they associate Niki with being a playboy and whatnot.

But it's not like that matters, I'm now dating my penpal, the man that I've always wished to know and talk to verbally, through all his letters I just knew that he was the one.

Niki stood up, heading to the bathroom, meanwhile I checked my phone, seeing a few messages from the girl's group chat and whatnot, they all seemed to be primarily interested with who I went home with last night.

go-eun: yall haeun went with niki

go-eun: GUYS WAKE UP ARE YOU HEARING THIS

jihyun: girl are you stalking them what are you doing

go-eun: NO

go-eun: HAEUN WAKE UP

I chuckled, already seeing Go-eun typing after I literally just read the messages. Just like I thought, she began spamming my name in the group chat and telling me to explain.

haeun: guys im sorry

haeun: im dating niki

Now, initially I thought that only Go-eun and Jihyun were awake, but clearly my reply woke up the rest of the girls, and now the entire group chat was emitting in a series of shocked texts.

go-eun: we've lost another one

go-eun: kidding im finally glad it took you guys long enough oh my god

I smiled to myself, just talking to the girls for a good few minutes, they didn't seem annoyed nor mad at me for finally getting with Niki, matter of fact, they were literally waiting for the message, waiting for me to actually tell them that it was official.

And now I suppose it was, speaking of which, Niki came out of the bathroom, running his fingers through his hair as he glanced over at me.

"Let me drop you off home real quick, I wanna take you somewhere." Niki said, and I looked at him, a little confused as to what he had planned.

I stood up, nonetheless, abiding by what he said, and head out with him, to where he took me back home, so that I could change.

But I thought that he'd wait for me in the car, oh was I wrong - matter of fact, he decided to be so bold and walk in with me, not the mention the fact that my own mother was awake and downstairs.

The look on her face was purely indescribable, now what am I supposed to tell her?
