→The rest of the school day passed by just fine. Nothing special, just plain ordinary lessons and the occasional talk with some new friends I made.
I don't know why this school was so hyped up to be some amazing place, it was just a regular school, aside from the fact that it looked expensive.
As the final bell rang, I looked out of the window, heaving a large sigh as the rain pelted down. It really had to rain as soon as it was time to go home? What kind of misery is this?
But regardless, I stood up, grabbing my bag and slowly heading out of the corridor. I still had no sense of acknowledgement to where exactly I was supposed to go, so I just followed the crowd like an absolute idiot.
Turns out, following other people may not be the best idea in some cases, since I made it to a completely different area of the school.
Despite being in a different area, I could decipher what corridor I was in at least.
I was in the music department, evident by the studio rooms and the windows I looked through that had rooms filled with music equipment or something like that.
In particular, as I passed by a studio room, I managed to take a glance through the window, noticing a few boys in the studio, working on the computer, and one holding an electric guitar.
My footsteps stopped, the guitar reminded me of my own penpal - to which I really wondered when he would reply back, unless Niki didn't post my letter.
Before any of them turned around to see me staring through the window out of pure curiosity, I turned to face forward again, looking around the department and wondering where the hell the exit is.
Surely it cannot be that hard to find an exit, so why am I acting so stupid right now?
With another sigh, I continued my treacherous journey to find the exit, the raindrops could be heard from the inside, and at this point, I wasn't sure if I even wanted to leave the school building.
Most of the students had left, only the occasional few still walking around, staring at me as I walked past.
I made it to the end of the music department, reading the sign on the wall that displayed the directions to other corridors and exits.
When all of a sudden, an assertive voice called out for my name down the music department. I could recognise that cocky ass voice from a mile away.
I turned around, looking over at none other, than the boy with blonde highlights himself - Niki.
He stood near the studio I looked into, hands lightly placed into the pockets of his leather jacket, staring at me with a smirk.
I rolled my eyes, cursing internally. Out of everyone, the world had to bring me this guy?
He began slowly approaching me, his walk literally spoke volumes on the kind of guy he was. He was one hundred percent a guy of arrogance and narcissism, he walked like he was the greatest.
And to be honest, I can't deny that already, he seemed like he was the best in this school.
"Lost?" He directly stared at the side of my face as I tried my best to ignore his cocky expression written all over his beautiful face.
"No, doing just fine." I blatantly lied through my teeth, ignoring his consistent staring.
What is with this guy and observing my face all the time?
"Mmm, alright, so if I just left you to go, you'd find your way out?" Niki raised his brow, leaning on the wall as he looked at me with such a smug attitude.
I bit my tongue lightly, then proceeded to turn my head to face him. That know-it-all face of his just made me so annoyed for no reason.
"Yes. Yes I would." I lied once again, why? My pride and ego was too high to let a guy like him be right.
Niki let out a gentle scoff, watching my face intently as I turned away from him, continuing to walk off to god knows where.
I just went with my instinct, heading straight forward with my little adventure around the school. I had no idea why they had to make this so confusing.
"You might want to take a right instead." Niki abruptly spoke, causing me to stop in my tracks, and curse all higher beings for putting me in this moment right now.
I turned around, giving him the most sweetest smile ever, but truly, I would've slapped that smirk right off his face.
"Actually, I'm walking around the school to familiarise myself with it." I corrected him, the hell I wasn't?! I just couldn't admit that I was in the wrong.
"Is that so? Well, take me with you then." Niki leant off the wall, heading towards me and proceeding to walk by my side.
