Alora's POV

Me and Lynn burst out laughing, earning an unamused look from AJ.

"No way Diana caught you," I say, and when Becca just sighs, I laugh harder.

That's the best thing I've ever heard.

Diana catching AJ and Becca? What are the chances?

"I'd pay to have seen that," Lynn snickers, and AJ glares at her before kicking her leg under the table. It does nothing to stop her amusement, however.

"You find it funny now, but I bet you won't find it funny when someone catches you," Becca mutters, rolling her eyes as she picks at the salad she's eating with her fork.

Me and Lynn wince.

Becca pauses while AJ narrows his eyes.

"Funny story..." I say slowly. "While you were getting caught by Diana... we were getting caught by Harriet and Quinn."

Lynn groans, covering her face in her hands at the memory. Although it happened yesterday, the memory still makes my face burn with embarrassment.

"How did that happen?" Becca looks confused. She knew we were at the house. She's probably wondering how we ran into Quinn and Harriet.

"They wanted to go shopping," I sigh. "Long story short - they knew they interrupted something," I mutter.

Cue the laughing from my dear sister.

AJ places a hand over his mouth, trying to hide his smile.

Lynn rolls her eyes, although her pale cheeks now have a pink hue to them.

"It's not that funny" I scoff when Becca's laughter doesn't die down after a minute.

"Sounds like fucking karma to me". Is all she says in response, and I wince, knowing I shouldn't have laughed when I found out about Diana.

"Fucking hilarious" She then snickers, returning her attention to her salad.

"You okay?" AJ leans forward a bit and whispers, and when I glance to the girl beside me, I see her face is still red.

Lynn hums, waving it off. AJ nods a single time, before his eyes move and lock with mine. He moves on quickly.

Me and AJ don't really speak.

Which is nothing new.

I'm pretty sure he still hates me for making Lynn cry.

And I still hate him for making my sister cry.

Focusing on Lynn, I frown slightly, not meaning to have embarrassed her. I grab her hand under the table, and when she glances at me, she smiles gently.

She leans close. "I'm embarrassed. Not dying. Relax" She whispers so only I can hear her.

I hum. "You're embarrassed? My auntie is threatening to send me a tshirt" I mutter.

Stupid Harriet.

Lynn looks confused. "A t-shirt?" She repeats.

" 'I'm so gay I sneeze glitter shirt'- it's a long story" I sigh, not bothered to try explain. I don't seem to need to, since Lynn has started laughing.

"Get me one too?" She says jokingly, and soon, I'm laughing as well.

***

"So I'll see you after school?" Lynn asks, leaning her shoulder against her locker as she faces me. I nod my head, not at all excited to part ways and go to geography class.
