Becca's POV

I sigh, staring at the clock, wishing it would move faster.

I look beside me, seeing Alora leaning with her elbow on the table, appearing equally as bored.

Stretching my hand over, I draw a frowny face on the side of her page. She snickers as she looks at it, nodding her head in agreement.

Just then, the door opens, and in steps Lynn and AJ.

The teacher stops and shoots them a stern glare. "You're late." She points out the obvious, and Lynn hums as she and AJ stop in front of her.

"I know, sorry." Lynn flashes her a small smile, but the teacher only glares. "Well, sorry isn't good enough!".

The next few seconds are filled with silence as Lynn glances at AJ. "I don't know what you want us to say other than sorry," Lynn chuckles awkwardly, glancing at the twenty other students watching this interaction.

"If you're late again, that will be an after-school detention," The teacher says, turning around just in time to miss AJ rolling his eyes at her.

Lynn doesn't seem bothered in the slightest as she starts walking to their seats at the back of the class, flashing us a smile as she walks past.

As AJ walks by, his eyes are quick to find mine as usual. I see the annoyance clear on his face from the interaction with the teacher.

I raise an eyebrow at him in question, and to my surprise, he rolls his eyes playfully.

He's already walked past me before I can react.

What did I do to no longer be on the receiving end of his annoyed glares?

Alora elbows me hard, and I glare straight ahead, not in the mood for her bullshit.

"What was that?" She whispers teasingly, grinning.

I raise an eyebrow at her. "What? This?" I ask before giving her a hard shove out of her chair.

I smile largely as I watch her glare at me from the ground, ignoring the class of people who are now watching us.

"Becca! Principal's office!" Ms Green snaps, and I snicker, standing up just as Alora does.

"You-"

"No!" Ms Green snaps, walking over to us. "I refuse to have to call the principal here to break up another one of your fights. Now Becca-"

I zone her out as I toss my bag over my shoulder, fighting my grin at the sight of a pissed-off Alora.

I left the class happy, knowing I effectively got my sister to shut up, and I got an opportunity to skip.

***

"I guess I forgive you." Alora grins at me as I toss the bag of M&Ms at her, a peace offering.

It was only after I pissed my sister off that I remember we went in her car today, and she would drive home without me.

Hence, the peace offering.

I hum, slightly amused at my sister's weakness to M&Ms before I start to eat my lunch.

"Lynn!" Alora suddenly calls out. I glance up from my food, spotting Lynn walking towards the doors of the cafeteria, only she stops when she sees us and smiles.

Alora then glances at me, making sure I don't mind her sitting with us. I roll my eyes since my answer has been the same every day since she first invited them over.

"How are you two on this shitty Monday afternoon?" Lynn grins as she sits down. "Are we friends again?" She asks us, glancing between us.

Alora smiles, holding up the packet of M&Ms. Lynn snickers, glancing at me in question. I shrug, fighting my own smile.
