Beccas POV

Slowly, I open my eyes, groaning a bit as I start to wake up.

Blinking a few times, I stare at the seats in front of me, confused as to where I am. I then remember the school trip- and that I'm on a bus.

I didn't mean to fall asleep.

But in my defence, we were up pretty early.

As I wake up more, I become more aware of my surroundings. Such as the body I happen to be leaning against. Or better yet, clinging to.

I stare at his arm that I'm hugging, surprised.

Glancing up at him, I see AJ is also fast asleep and has his head leaning against the window.

I let out a breath of relief at the fact he won't remember this, and slowly let go of his arm and sit up straight.

I blink a few dozen times, wishing the tiredness away.

We suddenly drive over what must be a pothole since the whole bus jerks forward.

Glancing out the window, I see that we've arrived at the campsite, which means I slept for the entire ride.

That's three hours.

Woah, I must have been tired.

As the bus comes to a stop, it takes exactly three seconds before everyone stands up and rushes to the door, eager to get some fresh air and stretch their legs.

I turn to AJ, seeing he's still fast asleep.

He looks... peaceful.

He always does when he's asleep.

Reaching a hand out, I ignore the chaos going on around us and gently shake him. "AJ," I whisper, and his face tenses up, his eyes screwing shut tight.

"AJ," I whisper again, and this time, he lets out a low groan. "What?" He mumbles, slowly lifting his head off the window, blinking as he takes in his surroundings.

"We're here," I tell him, and he mutters something inaudible as he brings a hand up and rubs his eyes.

Since the bus is nearly empty at this point, I stand up, and AJ copies.

And grabs my hand.

I pause, glancing at our conjoint hand in surprise before looking at him in question.

AJ is still blinking, looking confused and half asleep. With a small smile now on my face, I don't question the gesture and instead walk down the aisle of the bus to the exit, pulling AJ along with me.

Outside, I pull us along to go grab our bags, half scared someone will take mine if we don't hurry.

Due to the fact I brought a red bag, it's easy to spot. But before I can grab it, AJ does.

I look at him confused again, noticing he now has his bag thrown over his left shoulder and mine on his right. He also has Lynn's bag in his hand

"I can carry it," I tell him, not sure if I appreciate the gesture or not.

"Carry what?" He mumbles, grabbing my hand with his free one again, before leaning back against the bus with a groan and letting his eyes fall shut. "I don't want to be awake right now.." He whispers, and I stare at him, my lips pulling into a small smile.

Lynn and Alora suddenly appear, and Lynn snatches her bag from AJ's hand, throwing it over her shoulder with a glare.

He doesn't open his eyes. "Hey Lynn.." He just mumbles, and Lynn snickers, patting his shoulder.
