Alora's POV

I apply one more coat of lipgloss before leaning back and smiling, finally done adding the finishing touches.

"Hurry up," Becca groans from my bed, and I roll my eyes, getting up from my chair.

I'm excited to go out tonight. I don't care much for these little parties my peers throw, but since I've discovered Lynn has never been to a party before, I'm adamant about making it fun.

"Alright, let's go," I say, taking one last look in the mirror. In denim black shorts, they are slightly on the short side but who cares, and a simple halter top that ends just above my belly button, showing my piercing.

I look hot as fuck.

I smile at my reflection, and Becca scoffs as she walks passed me. "Stop staring at your ass and let's go" She mutters as she walks out my bedroom door.

Laughing, I follow her quickly.

Walking down the stairs, we hear noise from the kitchen, and inside we see Dad, once again at the coffee machine.

He glances at us, before shooting us a small smile. "Where are you two off to?" He asks, bringing a freshly poured cup of coffee to his lips and taking a sip, immune to the burning at this point.

"A party," I tell him, and he hums in response. "Call me if you need me," He says, before adding a pointed look as he says, "For anything".

I snicker, while Becca just smiles. "You don't need to worry Dad- we'll be fine" She laughs, since it's true. A high school is the least dangerous thing we'd done this week.

"I'll always worry," He says casually as he places his mug on the kitchen counter. "Have fun. Call me if you need a lift home" Dad tells us.

I shrug. "Well call Chris if we need to," I tell him, although it's not likely that we'll need him. I don't plan on drinking tonight.

Chris is our family driver- he has been for decades at this point. There's no point in having Dad come to pick us up when we can just call Chris-

"Call me- not Chris. Always me" He tells us, shooting us a look. I fight my smile- as does Becca as we nod our heads.

"See you later- lay off the coffee!" I call out as we walk to the front door, faintly hearing the sound of him chuckling as we go.

Walking up the path, since we couldn't find a parking space outside the house, I smile when I see a familiar blonde.

Leaning against the small garden wall outside a house bursting with people and bad music, Lynn stands in her usual black combats, with a top very similar to mine, only in red. Her hair is up in her normal ponytail, while she licks on a red lollipop.

She smiles when she sees us and pushes off the wall when we reach her.

"Where's AJ?" Becca asks, looking confused.

Right- AJ. How she managed to get that asshole to come along tonight is beyond me.

"Oh, he's just parking the car" Lynn assures her. "You ready for your high school party experience?" I ask teasingly, and she laughs at me.

"You know- you've hyped this up a lot Alora. I hope you're ready to meet the expectations you've set for me" Lynn smiles, tilting her head slightly as she looks at me.

"I'm not too worried" I whisper back, and she chuckles, placing the Lolli- I think it's cherry, back in her mouth as she looks around.

"I don't know what's taking him so long" Lynn sighs as she looks up and down the street. "But I just wanna wait for him before going in".
