27. A DREAMY REALITY!

My peaceful date with my movie was disturbed none other than my dearest Aunt, Mrs. Verma, as she came to drop my Mojo to home, who grumpily tried to hide from me due to his anger. He & his antics!

I chuckled at his efforts to hide in Auntie's saree's free end. It's been almost a week since I found my Mojo, & he has made my life heaven! I yet remember the day I found him...

I was coming back from the N.G.O., it was already time for the sunset so I was hurrying back, & as I was just a few steps away from my home, I heard a few stray dogs barking & growling, & a small shrill painful cry was also heard, as I gulped moving to them slowly. As my home is a little deserted, only I was standing on this main road, with forest all around.

What I saw sent goosebumps to my body, as I shooed the large wolf like stray dogs away & looked at the small black pug dog in front of me, who was small & injured, as he cried in shrill voices.

I gulped as my senses got activated & I decided to take him to the veterinary hospital, but he stick to the ground all scared, but later on when I cooed him, & he was assured that I'm not a danger, he stick to my arms. I know the hospital wasn't far away as I had seen while visiting the area several times, so I hurriedly caught a cab caressing the small furry scared life, while his whimpers continued, & I couldn't help myself but shed tears for it, & pray for it's recovery, & to lessen his pain. He looks too innocent, cute & small for any pain!

As soon as I reached the hospital, I took him in & the doctor checked him.

"Are you his owner?" asked he, as I sniffed looking at him, & shook my head.

"N-No..." spoke I.

"He's ok. You saved him on time, & also his injuries are not that deep. He looks like a pet." spoke the Doctor as I nodded, my gaze not moving from him, as he too looked at me, with sadness in his eyes.

"Did you contact the authorities?" asked he.

"Yes, I-I did, b-but nobody h-has c-complaint of missing dog like him..." spoke I sniffing yet, wiping my tears again & again.

I can't see this little cute furry animal in pain.

"Means someone abandoned him too!" spoke he sighing.

"Means?" asked I, not understanding his words, moving my gaze finally to the doctor, who continued his work.

"People, mostly rich ones, adopt pets due to sudden impulses, & when unable to take care of them, these animals are abandoned to die on roads, & as you said you found him near deserted jungles, it implies the same. Probably they were from far, so he couldn't follow them, & also this one is young!" spoke he examining the cute dog, who now seemed a little relieved, his gaze moved everywhere in apprehension.

I've heard & read that pug dogs are very brainy, lively, playful & also cautious, till they don't find the surroundings familiar.

"So w-what will happen of h-him now?" asked I.

"Nothing! Firstly I think we need to feed him. He seems hungry since long, plus looks like he was left in last rain as well, in that forest. Heartless people!" cursed he.

"B-but what after that?" asked I.

"Nothing, he'll be sent to the shelter-house." spoke he sighing, as I looked at him & then at the Doctor.

After an hour or so, he seemed alright as I went to him, & he seemed a lot ok. He was in fact being playful now not caring about his injuries, as he was fed fully. He ate like he was hungry since ages, clenching my poor heart.
