Subha shaam,
Din raat,
Jo bndh ho ankhiya,
To khwabo me deedar krva jaate ho...
Aate ho khayalo me,
Saas bnkr,
har pal, har din,
Jo saaso ko roku,
to mott k farishte bhi tum hi bn aate ho...
Mere labo pr hasi,
Aankho me aasu bn aate ho,
Jo dekhu nazre utha kr,
To aasman me aaftab ka noor ban baras jaate ho,
Karu jo me ibadat,
To hootho pr dua bn aate ho,
Karu jo me fariyad,
To khud hi murjim, khud hi mufti bn aate ho...
Kaise chod du tumhara saaya,
Jb mera mazhab, meri jameen tumhi ho?
Kaise door rahu tumse,
Or kaise apna hi lu tumhe,
Ki mere shaitan bhi,
Or mere Khuda bhi, tumhi ho...

Morning & evening,
Day & night,
& if I close my eyes,
Even then you make your presence in my dreams...
You come in my thoughts,
as my breathe,
every moment, every day,
& if I stop breathing,
Even then you come as the angles of death...
You come on my lips as a smile,
& in my eyes, as tears,
If I raise my gaze,
Then you start falling as the Sun's radiance,
If I worship,
You come upon my lips as a prayer,
If I appeal against you,
Then you come as the victim & as the judge himself...
How do I leave your shadow,
When my religion, my region are JUST YOU?
How to stay away from you,
& how to accept you,
when my Devil,
& my God as well,
are JUST YOU...
