Since we all managed to wake up late Thursday morning we were rushing to make sure we had everything. Me and Jasper were nearly climbing over one another to find our things and I'm sure that Natalie and Evan were doing the same. In all honesty, I don't know how all of us slept through our alarm clocks. Jasper's alarm would always go off before mine so I would wake up from his alarm thirty minutes before mine. The reason Jasper would get up earlier before everyone else was that he wanted to shower every morning and make breakfast for himself (selfish, I know) before we got downstairs.

I was lifting up the cushions on the couch trying to find my charger while Jasper rummaged through his closet trying to find a shirt. Yes. He's shirtless right now. It was hard trying not to look at him but I managed to succeed because my main focus was finding my charger.

"I can't find it," I sighed and tossed my hands up.

"Have you checked your backpack?" Jasper asked from inside his closet.

"Yeah."

I flopped down on the couch and turned on my phone to check the battery percentage. 30%. Looks like it's a no-phone day for me.

"I don't know what shirt to wear," Jasper said, leaning against the doorframe of his closet.

I shrugged my shoulders. "Just wear a black one," I suggested. "Black goes with everything."

"I wore black all last week and this week," Jasper stated. "Everyone's going to think I'm emo."

"Since when did you care what other people think?"

"I don't."

"Sounds like you do," I said under my breath.

"Are you going to help me or not?"

"I suggested a black shirt and you said no."

He let out a breath then walked out of his closet and flopped down on his bed. His eyes were locked on me and I didn't know if I should break the contact or stare back. So, I stared back. Watching him run his hand through his fluffy hair and seeing his muscles flex while he did that made my mind go crazy. If only he knew the effect he had on me right now he wouldn't think twice about throwing on a random black shirt.

"I'm not going," Jasper spoke up.

"What?" I asked, trying to make sure I heard him correctly.

"I'm not going to school today," he repeated.

"All because you don't want to be labeled as an emo," I questioned, trying to make sense of it.

He shrugged his shoulders and before I could say anything his bedroom door was being pushed open.

"Where the hell is your shirt?" Evan asked his brother and soon Natalie was by his side, thinking the same thing.

"I can't find one," Jasper said like it was the best answer he could come up with.

"You have a closet full of clothes and you can't find a shirt to wear?" Natalie questioned.

"Just throw on a shirt so we can get to school," Evan demanded but Jasper didn't care.

"I'm not going."

"Jasper-"

"I'll see you at practice."

"Your kidding?" Natalie said.

He wasn't kidding. I could tell that there had to be more to what was keeping Jasper from going to school today. Didn't he want to see Makayla?

"Alright well Ashton," Evan said, changing the subject and looking at me. "Are you ready to go?"

"I-"
