~Summer Break~

Junior year was finally over. Another year of high school drama was finally behind me. But standing in front of me was Preston. He was the only person, the only reason, and the only way that I was able to find my smile again. He made me happy which is why I decided to spend the summer break with him. He graduated along with Evan and Natalie and since his college classes did not start for another three months I was going to spend as much time with him as I could. It was an easy decision that I made two weeks before which took my mind off of another argument that I had with Jasper.

"You never liked Preston," I snapped.

"He's not good for you," Jasper said and that always irritated me.

I never liked when Jasper always pretended like he knew what was best for me. "He's a better choice for me," I said firmly. "He's not going to treat me the same way that you treated all those girls. That's why I chose him over you, Jasper."

I knew that things between me and my sister's boyfriend's brother weren't going to be the same but maybe that's what I needed. I needed to move on from him and I needed to let him go. Our friendship during junior year when Makayla came along was toxic. I didn't need that for myself. Especially when I wanted to build something with Preston.

He invited me to join him on a summer vacation trip to Honolulu and of course I said yes. I've always wanted to go to Hawaii and this was my chance. It was a breath of fresh air. It carried a pleasant tropical scent with it being surrounded by the pacific ocean, the island benefited from the consistent sea breeze. As we walked across the beach together to get to our condo on the beach I could hear the seagulls calls which was surprisingly a relaxing addition to the beach environment.

Once we got to our condo Preston opened the door for me and I went in first, looking around the small but spacious area for the two of us. There really was nothing that I would complain about because we had a perfect view of the beach.

"Be honest," I said, then flopped down on the queen sized bed. "Was this expensive?"

He let out a chuckle and I already knew that it was. "Let's just say," he spoke, lowering his tone the closer he inched his face closer to mine. "It was worth it for you."

I couldn't help but grin widely while he pressed our lips together. I know I've said before that I didn't love Preston the same way that he loved me but that was only to please Jasper. Now, I wasn't ashamed to admit that he meant the world to me. A kind of love that I never thought I was going to be able to find for myself. We shared a long and passionate kiss with Preston on top of me and I was underneath him, letting my fingers slip underneath his shirt to dance against his skin. I instinctively opened my legs so he could lay in between them and his chest was pressed against my stomach. I couldn't hold back the moan when I felt his tongue slip into my mouth and I was attracted to the warm feeling.

"Mm wait," Preston spoke softly then broke the kiss. "It's still early."

"So?" I questioned, pulling him close but failed at connecting our lips.

"There's some things I have planned for us," he said with a grin.

"Making out with me isn't on that list?" I asked in a teasing way he caught on to.

"Of course it is but." He paused so he could sit up, causing me to miss the warmth of his body against mine. "I want to save that for last."

Now, usually I would argue with that (especially because I could feel my arousal growing, craving for attention) but I also wanted to see what Preston had planned for us.
