The sun had gone down while Jasper and Ryder played one on one to pass the time. I was with Gavin and Hugo, feeling more like a third wheel to whatever they had going on. Of course, what Quinn told me was still hanging around in the air so whenever I saw them together the first thought on my mind was asking if they were anything more than friends.

"You scored a lot more than I thought you would, Ashton," Gavin said, breaking the silence between us.

Hugo scoffed and stuffed his hands in the pockets of his shorts. "Yeah, never played my ass."

I couldn't help but chuckle at Hugo's response. "No need to be jealous, Hugo," I teased, reaching my hand out to place it on his shoulder as if to give him sympathy. "I'll teach you a thing or two."

That was a joke.

If anything Jasper would be the one teaching him a thing or two.

"I'll make sure to send Jasper the video later," Gavin said once Hugo walked away to join in with Jasper and Ryder's game.

"You actually got a video?" I exclaimed, my eyes going wide.

"Yeah," Gavin said, pulling out his phone.

I leaned closer to him so I could see the screen and watch the playback of the video that Gavin recorded. But one thing I noticed was the part he played the video. When Jasper was behind me, trying to block me from making a shot.

"You looked really flustered right here," Gavin chuckled and I quickly looked up at him.

"What?" I questioned, hoping he would say it again but there was no time.

"Ash!" Jasper called out and I looked in his direction noticing Evan's car was parked in the same spot that he dropped us off. "Let's go!"

"Alright!" I called out then turned back to Gavin. "Hey-"

"I was just messing with you, Ashton," he said. "I know that you and Jasper are just friends."

I nodded my head hoping that my facial expressions weren't giving away how flustered I was actually feeling about the whole thing. Something that I've told myself every time I thought about Jasper romantically was that we were just friends and Jasper was straight. Always. But why did I feel like of all people that I wanted to express the way I feel about Jasper, it had to be Gavin.

"See you at school tomorrow," Gavin said, slapping my shoulder then walked around me.

I began my path to Evan's car but glanced over at Gavin and Hugo as they made their way down the sidewalk together. I really hope Gavin wouldn't tell anyone else about the video and the way I looked when I was close to Jasper. Especially Quinn. She couldn't know about any of this. I slid into the backseat behind Jasper then closed my door and didn't have any time to put on my seatbelt because Evan was already driving off.

"You know I was beginning to think that you and Ryder switched bodies during that game," Jasper spoke up after the car ride was silent for five solid minutes.

"Damn there's no way Ashton smoked Ryder," Evan exclaimed, jumping into the conversation.

"No actually we were on the same team," I stated.

"So you whooped Jasper's ass!?"

"Let's not get ahead," Jasper said, tossing his hands up.

"It was a close game."

"That you lost," I added and both Evan and I let out a laugh together.

Jasper turned around in his seat, aiming to land a punch on me but I quickly moved, causing him to miss. "Next time I won't go so easy on you," Jasper said then turned back around in his seat.
