Chapter 23 ~ Rules of the Relationship

DRACO POV

You woke up the next morning expecting to still be on the couch, but you were in Y/N dorm room. There was a note on the bedside table addressed to you. Y/N was still fast asleep on your chest. You reach over grabbing the note and open it. It was from Snape.

Draco,

I brought you and Y/N back to her dorm. Considering the potential danger Astoria could be to Y/N it's wise to do as I tell you. I will come to the dorm tonight after dinner, I have informed the other professors that you will both be absent today. DO NOT tell anyone about what happened last night. I understand miss Hills and Mr. Diggory know about the letter, only they may know details about the soul bond and nothing more. We will discuss more later.

You hugged Y/N, you thought the longer you stayed there they safter she'd be. She started moving and making noises, she was waking up.

Y/N POV

You woke up, you still tired and a little weak and your head hurt. You felt Draco hugging you, you smelled him. He smelled like Sandalwood and leather; it was a warm smell you couldn't get enough of. "Goodmorning sleepy." He kissed your forehead. You sat up but got immediately dizzy. Draco noticed this and got you water and a waffle. You were still in your clothes from last night. "What happened?" You asked as he came back. He handed you a note from Snape, you read it while drinking your water.

"Astoria a danger to me? She's just jealous she won't really do anything." You say to Draco. You wouldn't be able to feel emotions for an hour or so. He looked annoyed. "Astoria is dangerous, she has a dark side only a few people know about. Snape and I know what she is capable of." You were curious. "I promise Snape and I will tell you more when he gets here, you need to rest. What do you want to do while we wait?"

You thought about it, you had Draco put on a record of your favorite songs on. He sat at the end of the bed. You wanted to talk about everything, what did this mean for you two right now? "Can we talk about what's going to happen moving forward? I mean we kissed, and we love each other. But we've been on one date. We've been trying to get to be friends and now..." You were getting overwhelmed.

Draco crawled up and cuddled you. "Shhhh, one thing at a time Hufflepuff. There's no pressure for anything right now. We take it at your pace remember?" Your head laid on his chest, you closed your eyes remembering your date and his words. "All I have to say is yes." You repeat what he had said Saturday. "Exactly, give me the rules." You look at him with an eyebrow raised. "The rules? I don't know any rules besides don't cheat."

Draco got up and went to your desk. He grabbed a notebook and pen and sat at the end of the bed. "Let's make our own rules then." You giggled, but he was being serious. "Well cheating is a definite against the rules." Draco laughed and wrote it down; he looked up waiting for a new one. "We go slow...wait are we in a relationship."

"I don't know, are we?" Draco winked at you. "Does kissing count as asking?" Draco stood up and pulled you up.  You asked to hold your hands, then he looked at you in the eyes.

"You're right I didn't ask you properly like I should have back at the cottage. I was nervous it was too soon. But, if it's not too late." He stroked his thumb against your cheek still gazing into your eyes. "Will you have me as your boyfriend." You felt your face get hot; you looked up at him. He saw your face get red and smiled. "Yes, of course."

"Great!" he sat back on the bed and wrote as he said. "Be in a relationship." He looked smiling. "That's a good rule." You couldn't help but laugh at his ridiculousness. "We need to say I love you to each other at least once a day, no matter what." Draco said, then writing it down after you agree. "That's a good one." You tell him. All Draco did was smile and moved on
