Chapter 25 ~ Stressed

You woke up the next morning feeling good. Draco was still sleeping so you quietly fed Owlbus and took care of your plants. Draco woke up soon after you did, and you both got ready for the day. Draco mentioned what happened yesterday with Blaise as you were getting ready.

"I wonder what's going on with him, I mean you know him better than I do but he's definitely acting strange. And I can't feel him which is weird. The last time I couldn't feel someone it was when you were numb in class." You had told Draco about that already, he felt bad about it, so you didn't like to bring it up. But this was the only thing you could compare it too.

"You heard a ringing in your ear when that happened, does anything like that happen when he's near?" You thought about the differences between this and Draco's numbness. They felt pretty much the same besides a few things.

"I don't get a ringing, but it feels emptier than when you felt numb. Something is going on; this isn't normal I should be able to feel him even if he's numb." You both agreed Astoria had something to do with this. Draco wanted to tell Snape but didn't want to make it obvious in case Astoria was watching you or having Blaise watch you which was scarier since you can't feel him or his eyes. You agreed to tell him after Potions class tomorrow. 

"Just try to act normal today, you have me protecting you. We will talk to Snape tomorrow and he'll just tell us to keep going as normal." You were trying but you were stressed about Astoria, not feeling Blaise, and the anxiety you felt from Snape and Draco everyday it was a lot. Draco knew you were stressed and hugged you. 

You haven't been wanting to leave your room feeling everyone around you was overwhelming, you were used to it but when you were stressed like this all of the emotions were too much. Days you didn't feel like going Draco would go to class and put a charmed lock on the door, so no one came in that shouldn't.

You asked him to, you were just going to sleep, study or experiment and didn't plan on coming out. But you knew how to remove it if you needed to. He would come back and give you notes and your homework. You didn't let this affect your schoolwork, so you didn't do this often, but it was unlike you. Lavander, Cedric, and Luna would check up on you with your sisters, but they knew Draco had you.

You hadn't told anyone about Astoria and Blaise and all the weird things that were happening, you didn't want them in danger. You told them she was jealous and being mean and trying to break you two up and the stress was a lot which wasn't a complete lie, there was just more to it you just didn't know what it was. Astoria would try to say things to you and Draco but you both ignored it. You asked Lavander to not do or say anything since it would make it worse, not to mention possibly put Lavander in danger. 

You could feel that Draco was excited about something as you hugged. "What are you excited about?" He looked down at you confused. "I feel a slight excitement in your stomach, but it feels far away so you're looking forward to something I think." He was silent and blinked at you then laughed. "I have a surprise for you tomorrow, ignore that for now." He said still laughing, you got excited, what kind of surprise? You made your way to breakfast for the day, hoping it would be a good day.

When you got into the great hall you felt everyone's eyes looking at you it felt really judgmental. You ignored that because you felt Blaise again, you felt his eyes at Draco, you felt his sadness, how tired he was, and it was impossible to ignore the absolute anxiety that went over his whole body. It was really overwhelming, and as he got closer the feelings got bigger; you started to feel lightheaded. Draco felt confused and anxious, you were confused you can all of a sudden feel Blaise again.

"Hey, can I talk to you?" You weren't close to Blaise, you never talked to him, and he didn't talk to you. You felt like he didn't really like you that much, but right now he was ignoring your existence entirely and trying to drag Draco away.
