Chapter 39 ~ Back to Class!

Y/N POV

MONDAY

You woke up Monday morning excited to go back to classes, you almost forgot Draco was in all your classes now. You took yesterday to think about Draco and what to do forward with him. You definitely wanted to speak to your mother about it vaguely. You also decided you would only see and speak to Draco during class and tutoring sessions.

You were confused by his voice in your ears when you looked at him, what his voice said was nothing Draco would ever say to you. Before you could continue your friendship with him you needed to understand this. You put your new necklace away; you wanted to take a step back and as much as you loved the necklace you were confused why he got you such a gift. You wondered why he had given anything to you at all.

Not wearing it and separating yourself seemed easier for you to collect your thoughts and opinions about Draco.

Lavander came in to help you to breakfast after you were dressed, you were nervous to get around the castle by yourself but you were determined. 

"Where is your necklace?" She asked noticing you weren't wearing it.

"I didn't want to wear it today." You smiled and hoped she'd take that answer.

Lavander looked at you, she was unsure what to say. It felt like she wanted you to say something to convince you but she just said okay and walked with you to breakfast, helping you with the stairs.

As you walked to the big doors that led to the great hall Draco also approached, he smiled but you just kept going into the great hall without a word.

You sat with Cedric who was with your sisters, his sister, and Benson. Cedric had told you about him the day you came back to your dorm, you never met him though. However you thought you might have considering you don't remember anything so you weren't sure.

As you sat Cedric introduced Benson.

"Nice to see you again." He smiled. Cedric put his head in his hands and Benson looked over at him.

"Oops I wasn't supposed to say that." He said with a nervous smile and voice. Cedric still in the same position but now shaking his head back and forth in disappointment. You laugh.

"It's okay, I figured I met you before I just don't remember. It's nice to meet you again though." He smiled then looked back to Cedric who was now looking at you with a half smile. You give him a look telling him not to be mad at his boyfriend. You had felt the anxiety from Benson when you got to the table, he was nervous about saying the wrong thing which made hum say the wrong thing. 

Lavander came to the table, you noticed she wasn't with you anymore when you got to the table and wondered where she went.

"Where did you go?" You l asked as she sat and started grabbing her breakfast.

"Just talking to Draco, classes start up for you today I wanted to make sure you're being taken care of." You didn't want to think about him so you changed the subject. It annoyed you that everyone seemed to be friends with him now, you were grateful for the necklace and saw he was trying to change; but there was a lot more than that and it was overwhelming.

The rest of breakfast you talked to your friends and got to know Benson more, or rather again. When breakfast ended you wobbled over to the doors to go to class, Draco was standing there waiting for you.

"You ready?" He said smiling.

"You don't need to walk me to class, I can walk fine." You wobbled past him almost losing your balance but you recovered hoping he didn't notice.
