Y/N POV

You woke up the next morning, there was a vase of flowers on your bedside table. There was no card or anything to indicate who it was from. You assumed one of the nurses or your friends dropped them off early while you were still asleep. The young nurse from yesterday came in and asked how you were, she was carrying a tray of food.

"I'm still in pain but better after seeing my family and my friends." You thank her as she put the tray on your lap.

"Do you know who the flowers are from?" You asked before taking a bite of your pancakes. The young nurse walked to the vase of bright yellow flowers and became confused.

"I'm not sure, no one came in this morning. Maybe someone dropped by last night and wanted you to wake up to something nice." She smiled and smelled the flowers.

"What kind of flowers are they? I don't think I've seen those before."

The nurse looked at you confused, then back to the flowers.

"They're called sunflowers, beautiful, aren't they?"

They were beautiful, they were big and yellow and bright.

"I like the name, it's a really pretty name." You smile and look at the sunflowers, something was drawing you to them.

The nurse smiled and asked if you needed anything else before walking away and returning to other patients.

'Maybe Lavander or Cedric left them.' You thought to yourself smiling. Your friends would be the only people who would do that, besides your parents of course. You took a mental note to thank them later.

The hospital wing was boring when you didn't have anyone to talk to, you usually played with magic making it swirl around in pretty colors when you were bored, but Snape said the nurses took your wand away. You also felt lonely, you hoped your friends would stop by on lunch or something. You didn't want to be alone with your thoughts.

You didn't feel like yourself, something about you felt angry and depressed. You didn't know why, other than the usual bullying from Draco and his friends, life was good. Draco never got to you or bothered you, none of his friends did. You got more of a reaction out of them than they did you.

But now, you found their voices echoing in your mind, the cruel things they said and did to you, replaying in your mind. Looking at the sunflowers helped those thoughts quiet down a bit; when you looked at them you felt warm and safe.

DRACO POV

You woke up the next morning and immediately wanted to go see Y/N, you couldn't so you stayed in bed. You didn't want to go to class, you didn't want to see or speak to anyone unless it was Y/N. You wondered if she liked the flowers you left, you reminded yourself that she loves sunflowers so of course she liked it. You knew you couldn't take credit, Lavander or Cedric would have to.

An owl came from Snape, Y/N would be back in her dorm room tomorrow and you had to go back to the Slytherin dorm. You started to sob, if she knew you were staying here, it would confuse her and creep her out. It all felt more real than it already did with this letter. You felt angry at Snape, but you knew he was right and would only be until Y/N got her memories back.

Instead of going to class you sat in the yellow nature themed room in thought and enjoying the room. You secretly really liked the Hufflepuff common room and dorms, it was bright and fun. Y/N fit perfectly in this room, you smiled thinking about how much of a Hufflepuff she is and always has been. You remember the day you started to like her and laughed at the reason.
