Around 11 at night, the Sharma family returned back to their house, and everyone went into their respective rooms to rest.
The next day At Sharma House
“Mom, I’m going to meet one of my friends in the nearby restaurant. I might get late at night, so don’t wait for me,” Maya said as she stepped out of the house, bidding her mother goodbye with a sweet smile.
Meanwhile, Aarohi, who had already left earlier for her classes, was now preparing for her shift in the restaurant Milan. Coincidentally or maybe intentionally Maya too was present at the same restaurant, waiting for someone. Meeting a person there was just an excuse; her real motive was to lower her sister’s dignity.
"Aarohi darling, you were acting all high and mighty last night. Let’s see what I do to you today." Maya thought to herself, smirking wickedly.
While she pretended to be busy scrolling on her phone, Maya’s sharp eyes constantly flickered toward the entrance door. Aarohi, on the other hand, was busy preparing orders in the kitchen. A few minutes later, she stepped out holding a tray, which instantly caught Maya’s attention. An idea formed in Maya’s mind, and she decided to call her.
“Uh, waiter, can you take my order please?” she said in a mock-polite tone, deliberately addressing Aarohi.
Aarohi froze for a second, completely surprised, but quickly composed herself and walked toward Maya’s table with a notepad and pen.
“Get me one iced coffee for now. I’ll call you later again,” Maya said coolly. Aarohi only nodded and went back inside to prepare the order.
Since Maya had come a little earlier than the decided time, she had to wait for the person to arrive. After a short while, the restaurant door opened, and in walked Aditya dressed in a formal uniform, a stoic expression etched on his face. He carried an aura of cold authority as he moved toward Maya’s table.
“Hey, Aditya!” Maya chimed with an overly sweet smile. Her eyes sparkled as she admired how handsome he looked in his formal attire.
“You’re looking very handsome, Adi,” she complimented softly, almost dreamily.
“Have you completed the presentation for the project yet?” Aditya asked in his usual cold tone, ignoring her compliment completely.
Maya felt a little sting but quickly answered, “Yes, it’s almost done. We just need to discuss a few poin—”
Before she could finish, Aditya cut her off flatly, “Discussion could have been done in the office too. Why did you call me to a restaurant?”
