Next morning At Sharma House
After returning from the dinner date, Aarohi went straight to her room and fell asleep immediately, as she was completely exhausted. What she didn’t realize was that someone had been silently observing her actions and interactions with Aditya the entire evening.
Maya, on the other hand, tossed and turned throughout the night. Sleep was nowhere near her eyes, as her heart refused to accept the bitter truth that her younger sister was actually going to marry the man she had secretly loved for so long. The thought of Aditya taking Aarohi out for a dinner date and the family, especially their daadi, approving of it so easily only added fuel to the fire burning inside her.
“Nooo, I need to do something really soon. I can’t let my Aditya marry Aarohi!” Maya muttered to herself as she stood in front of the mirror, her face twisted with rage. Her mind unwillingly drifted back to the sweet moments of the roka ceremony, and the memory made her blood boil even more. Her hatred for her own sister deepened with every passing second.
“Aarohi, if I can’t have Aditya, then I’ll make sure you lose him too. I’ll ruin your life, just like I ruined your childhood!” she hissed, smirking at her own reflection. “You don’t even deserve him. You’re not even worthy of his toenail, while I’m perfect for him. Sooner or later, he’ll be mine. Just wait and watch what I do next!” Maya’s lips curled into a wicked smile as a plan suddenly struck her mind. She straightened herself and walked out towards the hall with a devilish glint in her eyes.
Meanwhile, Aarohi woke up feeling refreshed, got dressed, and went downstairs.
“Morning, Bhai,” she greeted her brother warmly with a sweet smile.
“Morning, baby. Do you have an off today from college and the restaurant?” Abhi asked, glancing up from his newspaper.
“Yup, but I’ll go to the library later to get some books for the upcoming test,” Aarohi replied while making her way towards the dining table, where the rest of the family was already seated.
Just then, Maya’s voice broke the calm atmosphere. “Aarohi, I need to talk to you. Come to my room after breakfast,” she said firmly.
Aarohi froze for a moment, astonished by Maya’s sudden words. They barely ever spoke to each other unless absolutely necessary, and this sudden attempt at conversation felt strange. Naina, too, found Maya’s behavior unusual.
For the past few days, she had sensed something odd about her, and now after hearing her tone, her suspicion grew stronger. She couldn’t shake off the feeling that Maya was up to something dangerous and that very soon, she would create a scene that might shake the entire household.
