The Next day
"How's this possible?" A man roared at his employee, his voice echoing across the office walls. His fists slammed on the polished wooden desk, making the files on it tremble. "Arrange my meeting with Mr. Singhania at any cost! I can’t let that hotel slip out of my hands," Armaan growled, his eyes burning in frustration.
"S–Sir… Mr. Singhania has… declined the meeting with you," Ivan, his PA, stammered nervously. The moment the words left his mouth, Armaan’s sharp gaze fell upon him, leaving him pale and trembling.
Few hours earlier
Same morning, at Goenka House
The ringing of Aditya Goenka’s private line broke the silence of his study. He picked up, and the moment he heard the voice on the other end, a knowing smile tugged at his lips.
"Mr. Goenka, we’re glad to inform you," Mr. Singhania’s voice carried both warmth and formality, "that we have decided to sell forty percent of our company’s shares along with the property you had your eyes on. Congratulations, the deal is yours."
Aditya leaned back in his chair, a grin spreading across his face. His eyes gleamed with satisfaction, this was the move he had been waiting for. "Thank you, and congratulations to you as well, Mr. Singhania. Now, we are officially partners."
There was a pause before Aditya continued in a calm yet firm tone, "But I do have a small request. Please keep this collaboration confidential for now. You know how this city works jealous eyes are always watching, and some people wouldn’t hesitate to cause trouble for either of us."
Mr. Singhania agreed without hesitation, and after exchanging a few more pleasantries, the call ended. Aditya placed the phone back on the receiver, his smile refusing to fade. Victory tasted sweeter when it was kept under wraps.
Just then, a soft knock sounded on the door, and Rajveer stepped in, unable to hide the excitement on his face.
"Kya baat hai, bhai? Aap bahut khush lag rahe ho," he asked, curiosity lacing his tone.
[What’s the matter, brother? You look very happy.]
Aditya straightened up, his expression turning serious. "Baat hi khushi ki hai. But listen, Veer, what I’m about to tell you stays between us two. No one else should know."
[It is a matter of happiness.]
Rajveer’s eyes widened, his youthful excitement brimming over as he leaned closer. When Aditya revealed the news in hushed words, Rajveer couldn’t contain himself. "Wow, Bhai! I don’t know how I’m going to control my excitement for the next two weeks!" He rushed forward and pulled his elder brother into a hug, admiration evident in his voice.
