"Armaan Raichand, tum yahan kya kar rahe ho?" Aditya’s voice was sharp as he clenched his fist so tightly that his knuckles turned white, the veins on his hand standing out.

[Armaan Raichand, what are you doing here?]

“Lagta hai mera yahan aana aapko pasand nahi aaya, Mr. Goenka. Waise bhi, main yahan Mr. Bajaj ke request karne par aaya hoon,” Armaan replied coolly, a mocking smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.

[It seems you did not like my presence, Mr. Goenka. By the way, I have come here at Mr. Bajaj’s request.]

Aditya’s jaw tightened, his anger simmering dangerously close to the surface. Aarohi, who was standing right beside him, immediately sensed the tension between the two men.

Her brows furrowed in confusion why was Aditya so furious at this stranger? Did they know each other from before? Were they old business rivals? Or was it something even more personal? A thousand thoughts raced through her mind, only to be interrupted when Mr. Bajaj stepped forward to introduce his guest.

“Mr. Goenka, yeh hai Mr. Raichand meri company ke 40% shareholder. Aap dono ki baaton se lagta hai ki aap dono ek doosre ko pehle se jaante hain,” Mr. Bajaj explained politely, trying to ease the heavy atmosphere.

[Mr. Goenka, this is Mr. Raichand 40% shareholder of my company. From the conversation between you two, it seems that you both already know each other.]

Armaan chuckled darkly, his eyes never leaving Aditya’s face. “Yes, Mr. Bajaj. Hum dono ek doosre ko pehle se jaante hain… aur bahut ache se jaante hain,” he replied, his words laced with double meaning. His smirk widened as if enjoying the discomfort his presence caused.

[Yes, Mr. Bajaj. Both of us already know each other… and we know each other very well.]

Aditya’s piercing glare followed Armaan’s every movement, his silence speaking louder than any words could. The air between them grew heavier, and even the nearby guests sensed the unusual tension. Aarohi’s uneasiness only grew, she wanted to ask, but the setting wasn’t right.

After holding Aditya’s gaze for a few more moments, Armaan finally excused himself, claiming he had some urgent work to attend to. He turned and left the Goenka mansion, but not before casting one last smug glance over his shoulder. Aditya stood rooted, his eyes fixed on him until he disappeared completely from sight, his chest rising and falling with restrained fury.
