|AUTHOR'S POV|

For the last three months, Aditya had buried himself completely in his work. Whenever his family suggested that he should go out with Aarohi or spend some time with her, he would somehow manage to dodge the topic, finding one excuse or another to avoid meeting her.

In the beginning, he had actually planned to reveal the truth about their marriage to Aarohi during their engagement. But circumstances never gave them the right moment there was always someone around, never enough time for just the two of them. This left Aditya increasingly frustrated, as the weight of keeping the secret from her only grew heavier with each passing day.

Those three months turned out to be rather harsh for him. Not only was the pressure of work draining him, but he was also expected to actively participate in the endless shopping and preparations for his wedding. His family tried their best to keep him involved, making sure he was part of every little ritual and decision. But Aditya, being Aditya, would often look for ways to slip out of the situation whenever possible.

Eventually, however, when his dadi herself requested him, he could no longer refuse. At her insistence, he flew to London to bring home his cousin sister and his bua, so that they could all be present for the wedding rituals.

|ADITYA'S POV|

I can’t believe it; in just a month, I’m getting married to a girl I don’t even know properly. I had planned to reveal the truth of this wedding to her before things went too far, so that she wouldn’t keep high expectations from me—expectations I might never be able to fulfill.

I do feel something for her deep inside, but I can’t allow myself to fall for an innocent face again. My heart refuses to trust so easily. What if she turns out to be just like her... a woman with an angelic face but a mind filled with poison? Maybe that’s why I see the distance between her and her family.
