"Good morning," Dylan greeted me with a tray of food. I smiled softly, sitting up in the bed. We had arrived in the Hamptons yesterday and were staying at Hugh Jackman's vacation home, as this was where we were now getting married.
"Thank you, baby," I said, yawning after. He bent down to kiss my cheek while placing the tray over my lap. "You didn't have to do this."
"Well, we bought groceries yesterday for a 48 hour stay. Don't want to waste anything."
I laughed, "Oh, so we're eating a lot? You do know I have a wedding dress to fit into, right?"
He scoffed, "you'll fit."
He then plopped on the bed beside me and we shared the breakfast he made. Mainly in silence. It still hadn't been so long since... my miscarriage. We of course agreed to still have this public wedding as well it was the second one we paid for and if we didn't do it now, we weren't sure anyone would come for a third try.
"I can't wait to see you tomorrow," he said.
I grinned, "Likewise."
Tomorrow morning, I was headed to the chapel we were getting married. There was a room prepared for me and all 9 of bridesmaids to get ready in. While Dylan and the groomsmen would be in the house. We've made a few last minute changes.
As I was no longer speaking to my sister, who made it clear she would not be at my wedding or stand by our marriage, or me. Of course Destiny and Bella both stepped up as maid of honor duties. We moved most of the girls up in the line, except keeping couples Chloe and Adam, and Debby and Josh paired. Then to fill in, I asked Hailey who I wanted to begin with. I had enough drama, I couldn't care less about the Selena, Hailey, Justin of it all now.
Then, Stella dropped out. She and Dylan had a squabble. Where she tried to talk him out of marrying me. By using the argument he belonged with Barbara and still had feelings for her because of what happened to be a threesome, we both learned through text... I wasn't sure if that made it worse or better. But Stella, Barbara's friend, wanted them to be together and didn't understand how he could sleep with his ex fling, and think it didn't mean anything.
Of course that kind of set me off. But at least I knew the truth, and he did too as he swore he didn't remember anything from that night. And then it was too late to ask Hailey not to participate as she already had a dress and things were settled. So we needed another woman to step up for us... and Zoey Deutch saved the day. She had felt so bad for me about the Stella thing. She was good friends with Dylan, we got along tremendously and she wished us well. And that mattered most.
So Dylan and I dropped the boy and girl bonuses from our side. Timothee would join the groomsmen and tie them for 9 with my new set of 9, all girls. Of course the stress of getting Zoey a dress the week of the wedding was impossible so with a few of the girls switching around, everyone had a stunning dress to wear. All different styles, different shades. Some with patterns.
Dylan had managed with the help of my mom, Destiny, Bella, Cole and Ari, and Kris fucking Jenner to find a venue for the wedding and reception and handle a thousand details. While I had spent the planning time pregnant, shooting a movie and then grieving. Of course all our married friends helped with advice and recommendations, but it all came together on such short notice. Three months of planning and I was prepared to see a quaint, classical, and almost Christmas-y celebration.
"Honestly, I can't wait for it to be here and be over," I sighed tiredly.
Dylan frowned, grabbing my hand and kissing it, "You still looking forward to our honeymoon? We don't have to go—"
"No, no, I'm sorry, baby. I can't wait to marry you and I really can't wait for Italy. I'm hoping the sunshine brings some serotonin to our lives. And we can have all our romantic plans," I forced a smile. He's been so supportive and sweet. I knew he was hurting too. But the least I could do was try to be happy as well.
