After breakfast, everyone headed back to their rooms, and as usual, yesterday Sophie and I met up. We talked for hours and hours until we both couldn't keep our eyes open for any longer. I was a bit tired but I was fine.

I got dressed properly and started to read to pass an hour or so. Afterwards, I got a few things ready for Sophie and I's date tomorrow and soon I found that it was almost noon. Along with several others we all headed to the ballroom where we found Michael and a lady in a pink ball gown ready standing.

We waited an extra five minutes for the rest of them to arrive and once everyone did, we began.

"Okay, you all have a chance at being king. But I've never met a king who can't dance, so that's why we were having this very crucial session. Now don't embarrass yourself too much because the princess and queen will come to observe the class sometime. Now we will start with the basics." The lady, who's hair was wrapped in a tight bun, went to put on classical music.

Michael started to instruct us about dancing and what to do with our feet. Although many of them weren't getting it.

"Stop the music dear." He said, to whom I was assuming his wife. She followed his directions and turned off the music.

"It's not that hard. Step, step, step and again. You always follow the music, and never whatever many of you were doing. Step, step, step." He showed actions and did it repeatedly, while everyone else was following suit. Everyone was still fumbling and he sighed. He looked at me and grinned.

"Were you one of the men who has done dance lessons?" I nodded my head.

"Yes."

"They haven't been wasted, you dance quite well. You all should learn from..."

"Fitz." I answered.

"From Fitz here. Now young men, just follow the rhythm and you'll be fine." I smiled to myself as he continued on with the session. After a few dreadful hours, I had just noticed that Edaline and Sophie were observing the dance session. Michael seemed to notice them although continued on with the session. Edaline and Sophie walked up to the instructors and the music stopped for Michael to bow to the both of them.

"Your majesties."

"Michael. If it's okay with you, maybe Sophie could help with dancing. Give them a dancing partner?" Edaline suggested.

"That would perfectly fine your highness. I have a few students who are good enough to practice dancing, so Elijah if you could please join Sophie." My heart dropped when he hadn't said my name instead.

The two went to the side and I couldn't help but notice them when we were practicing. Edaline continued to observe, glancing at Sophie and Elijah once in a while.

"Heads up. I'm not sure what's interesting about the floor, but you will eventually have a lady in front of you. So chins up. Fitz, may you please switch with Elijah?" I nodded my head, and I couldn't help but smile. The two of us switched and I walked up to Sophie, the large smile plastered on my face.

"Didn't know you were a dancer." Sophie said, and I chuckled, grabbing her hands.

"I'm a man of many talents." She smiled, placing her hands on my shoulders to start the dance. I placed one on her waist and held her hand on the side.

"I have no doubt about it." My cheeks turned a bright red and she giggled, moving my hair which fell right in front of my eyes.

"Wouldn't want you to keep on stepping on my feet because you couldn't see." She said, placing her hand back in mine.

"I wouldn't want that either." Michael turned on the music, and everyone else started to dance while me and Sophie did. I couldn't keep my eyes off and I couldn't help but glance at everyone else who was looking at us dancing. But I couldn't keep my eyes off Sophie. She looked so gorgeous, it was unreal.

And all too soon, the music ended. Sophie and I broke apart and bowed to each other.

"You're a wonderful dancer."

"I can say the same to you." She answered back. "But unfortunately I do have a couple errands to complete, so I'll see you later." I nodded, kissing the back of her hand before she thanked Michael, heading out of the ballroom with her mother.

After even more agonizing hours, we were finally allowed to leave and my feet hurt terribly. I collapsed on my bed and groaned.

I sat up, snuggling with my sparkly red dragon, Mr. Snuggles. I grabbed my notebook and decided that I had everything ready, and I had already asked the kitchen maids to prepare things for our date.

I couldn't wait for our date tomorrow.

Sophie's POV

I was bombarded with requests for dates and I couldn't think. I had a full schedule so now I had to give the rest of them responses.

I laid on my bed, looking at my agenda marking times for the dates that I had set up for the rest of the week.

After 15 minutes I had settled everything and sighed, putting everything down.

I couldn't help but think about the dance with Fitz. It wasn't something big, but it was romantic. What's not to love about him? I can't wait for our date tomorrow.

I heard a knock on the door and found two female heads pop in the room. I smiled at my friends and welcomed them inside.

My friends were two maids at the palace but they're barely treated like maids here.

"So how's the selection going?" My black-haired friend, Linh asked.

"It's going amazingly. They were practicing ballroom dancing and I got to dance with a couple of them."

"Who?" My blonde-haired friend, Marella asked.

"Elijah and Fitz."

"Fitz is hot." Marella blurted and we giggled at her outburst.

"He is, isn't he?" The two girls looked at each other knowingly, 'ooooohs' filled the air.

"I see the teal eyed prince has already stolen your heart." I roll my eyes, my cheeks turning a bright red.

"Kind of? I don't know. We have our first date together tomorrow. But I'm still hesitant about whether he likes me or not." The girl's smiles faded and they sighed in unison.

"Sophie, how are you this dumb? If he joins your selection, along with 25 other men, trying to steal your heart and get married to you, why wouldn't you think he likes you?" Marella said.

"It doesn't matter. I'll tell you about everything that happens tomorrow during our date."

"Well you better, and every single little detail. And if there's some action, don't leave that out." I playfully hit Linh with a pillow.

"There's going to be no action okay? I don't plan on kissing anyone this early into the selection."

"You're going to kiss him tomorrow." Marella stated, confident.

"I'm not kissing anyone, so leave it alone. But anyways, Fitz is very flirtatious."

"A hot way or a creep type of way?"

"Hot. He'll make me blush and melt right on the spot."

"Stop making me feel single." Marella said.

"Well I'm as single as you." She raised an eyebrow knowingly.

"Well I'm dating 26 men, but they're not committed. It'll only be committed when I'm engaged to one of them."

"Which will be Fitzyyy." Linh sang. And I hope that she's right.

We continued to talk more until they had their maid duties to fulfill.

I decided to do something that you would never find me do; pick a dress for an occasion ahead of time.

I really cared about my date with Fitz because it can determine many things in the future.

I wondered what he had planned for us tomorrow, but I would only have to wait.
